Hey!

Even today, here, I'm glad!

However, today, we will talk about something else...

You know, it's a special day!

It's our anniversary! (Don't worry, I'm not asking you to marry me. (again.))

Anyway, yes, it's our 11th meeting hehe.

And since I always talk about sentimental things and the not-so-nice stuff..

Today, we'll have some fun!

Now, how?

If you had asked me a few hours ago, I would have answered with a riddle..

(Don't worry, I found something better)

Today.. you will be..

An Investigator!! YEYY

(Why can't I hear u screaming "YEYY" too??)

Trust me.. It will be intriguing, and to make it even more enjoyable, it won't be too complicated, okay!

Good Luck!

(You will need it, this shit is complicated AF.)

▶"Um, Hi, I'm Reginald.. Mr. T has talked to you about me, hasn't he? I wanted to ask you, dear Mr. Homeless, if you wish to take on the case?"

▶ "Ii thing you have th wrog person, I am Ahmed, not Homeless."

▶ "Mr. Homeless, you made a mistake; you were supposed to say Mehmed, not Ahmed, darn!"

▶ "Ah yes, you're right, assistant.. Ii thing you have th wrog person, Sir Reginald. I am Mehmed, not Ahmed or Homeless! Im fact, I habe a roov over my hed..."

▶ "Well, Mr. Mehmed, I hope you will show up tomorrow at the agreed-upon place."

End of the call.

The luxurious villa of Sir Reginald Hawthorne stood majestic, enveloped in a golden twilight as its guests reveled in a sumptuous feast inside.

The rustle of elegant garments and the clinking of crystal glasses created a festive atmosphere, but behind the walls of that abode, the shadow of tragedy loomed.

The proprietor, as usual, went in person to the entrance, welcoming the most anticipated guests.

Next to the gate, he had set up a small table with 7 glasses and a bottle of wine from 1898, a highly prized vintage reserved only for the most important people.

To the other 27 people already present, finally, the first number arrived, and this was his wife, Lady Eleanor Hawthorne (35), who had been away for two weeks visiting her sick mother.

A strong and assertive woman, she doesn't hesitate to voice her opinion and be right.

Being Mr. Hawthorne's wife, she is always careful to appear perfect, never making mistakes.

In addition to her personality, she is also a beautiful woman with curly blonde hair. She is sporty, loves playing the violin, and secretly adores puppies.

That evening, Lady Eleanor wore a sumptuous black ball gown, a thoughtful gift from her devoted husband.

The fabric slid gently along the curves of her body, creating an effect of sinuous grace.

The silvery accents of the high heels and matching bag sparkled under the subdued light, adding a touch of sophistication to her ensemble.

Each step, accompanied by the delicate sound of heels tapping on the floor, emitted an aura of confidence and femininity.

Attention to detail and care in coordination bestowed a timeless elegance to the scene while she enveloped in her sparkling dress, moved gracefully among the evening lights.

Then their gazes meet, revealing a deep connection.

▶ "How is your mother, dear?" Smiled the man, lending his arm to his wife.

▶ "Now she's fine, it was just a cold... I let myself be carried away by Lara's words." Replied the woman, accepting her husband's hand.

▶ "Ah... Your sister always exaggerates, but now we're back together!" Chuckled Sir Reginald as he now took both of his wife's hands.

Then he gently brings Lady Eleanor's face close to his; their eyes close, and their lips come together in a passionate kiss.

Passion transmits through that gesture as time seems to stand still, allowing this couple to savor a moment of intense love.

So, the man turned and took two glasses, then filled them with wine and offered one to his wife.

However, she declined the offer, saying she didn't feel well, but decided to take it with her to appear elegant in front of the guests.

Mr. Reginald then placed his glass, still containing wine, back on the prepared table.

After that, Lady Eleanor left him with a hug and walked away with the butler, carrying his three suitcases into the house.

Immediately after, the carriage of Sir Laurence Cardinal, an old school friend of Mr. Hawthorne, arrived.

That evening, Mr. Laurence was wearing an elegantly refined black tuxedo with an impeccable cut that enveloped his body with understated majesty.

The glossy lapel and discreet buttons added a touch of class, while the long trousers fell gracefully over shiny shoes.

A perfectly tied black bowtie completed the ensemble, formally reflecting Mr. Laurence's impeccable taste.

The two rekindled their connection, meeting by chance during a business deal.

▶ "AHH, I see you managed to arrive, my friend... Can I still call you a true friend?"

▶ "Of course, Reginald... Wow, we went to school together; of course, we're friends."

The two shook hands.

▶ "Ah, Laurence, what a strong handshake you have. I see you haven't lost your physique since you played on the team!"

▶ "Of course, I still train five times a week, but I see you're not doing so well.."Pointing with his finger, he said. ▶"With that growing belly, Captain!"

Placing his hand on his belly, he said. ▶"Ah, my friend, with all I have to do, I never have time to work out. Besides, I think age has finally caught up with me."

The two laughed together as they often did in school.

Then, Sir Reginald took a glass, poured some of that fine wine into it, and handed it to Sir Laurence.

Subsequently, taking his glass in hand, he said.

▶ "Let's have a drink together, shall we?"

The two drank a sip together.

Mr. Reginald continued. ▶ "Well then, see you later. We still have to discuss that matter you were so eager to discuss."

The old friend with the glass walked towards the other participants at the party.

The man waited for 14 seconds before another carriage arrived, but the guests were two this time.

These were Dr. Percival Blackwood (53), the family medic, and Victoria White (23), Mr. Reginald's private secretary.

Dr. Percival was wearing a stylish suit similar to Mr. Laurence's, but he also had a peculiar, dark, and very discreet suitcase, even equipped with handcuffs.

One part was connected to the handle and the other to his hand, suggesting the importance of the contents.

Meanwhile, the young Victoria, a ray of light, like the wife, a beautiful woman with blonde, curly hair, accompanied the doctor, almost as if she were his guard.

The three met, and Mr. Hawthorne didn't hesitate to prepare and offer them a glass of that fine wine, naturally taking him as well.

The three didn't say a word, parting in complete silence.

The only thing that could be heard was the sipping from their glasses.

Now, it was the turn of the last but not least important guests, who arrived quickly.

Mr. Reginald called both personally: the investigator, Mr. Homeless (??), and his assistant, Natalia Morozov (22).

▶ "Here you are; I was just wondering if you would come, Mr. Homeless. Of course you, lovely Miss Natalia, as well."

Despite his unknown age, the investigator had a distinguished appearance and a sharp gaze that hinted at his keen investigative skills.

He was dressed in a classic yet slightly worn suit, suggesting a life dedicated to solving mysteries.

Natalia Morozov, at 22, exuded youthfulness and professionalism.

She had an air of confidence, complemented by her neat attire, which conveyed her role as a capable assistant to the investigator.

Mr. Homeless replied in a calm but brisk tone, putting his hand in his pockets and searching for money.

▶ "Well, it's the fault of that.. THAT DOG, who took a longer route to squeeze more money out of us..."

Finally, he found the necessary money in his pockets to pay for the carriage, threw it forcefully in the face of the coachman, and started to laugh.

▶ "HERE!, take what you wanted, and get lost, you piece of S..!"

His assistant, eager to learn the trade, tried to imitate her boss's gesture but was stopped by Mr. Reginald, who said, " Stop Miss Natalia's hand. "

▶ "What are you doing? STOP.. please... Coachman, pretend you saw nothing and leave; I don't want trouble tonight!"

The waters calmed down as soon as the carriage left, and all happily, Mr. Homeless started laughing, saying, ▶ "HAHA, that's what you deserve for robbing me of my last month's money, you PIG!"

At that point, the investigator's assistant stepped on her boss's foot and, adjusting her glasses, said, ▶ "Mr. Homeless, you made a mistake... that was not a Pig, but a DOG!"

At that moment, the man realized his mistake, and running his hand through his hair, he replied, ▶ "Darn it! You're right, it was a dog... Looks like you're learning from the best!"

Desperately running the hand through his hair, Sir Reginald asked, ▶ "Have you finished now?"

With his hands in his pockets, turning towards the man, Homeless replied bored. ▶"It depends.. Have you finished pretending to be Reginald Hawthorne, my client?"

Well, that was a small taste.

I hope it entertained you for now.

See you next time, same place.

And it's better to remember the details!

˜"°•.   ♪   .•°"˜

This control room was the heart of the power plant, where every detail of its operation was managed meticulously.

As they delved deeper into their investigation, the control room provided an idea of the complexity and importance of the power plant's functioning.

Adam, frustrated, moved his hands on the console. ▶ "Normally, pressing this row of buttons on the control panel should activate the lights and other machines, but it doesn't seem to be working very well."

Eve, still smiling, asked again. ▶ "So what do we do now, clever boy.."

Adam, looking with empty eyes, replied. ▶ "I—i think the battery will run out.. And we will not be able to do anything haha."

▶ "So, are we about to die?" Asked the girl, still in her dreamy world.

Adam, laughing ironically, replied, ▶ "Yes.."

▶ "Ahaa.." Eve commented.

▶ "I'LL KILL YOU FIRST!" Jumping at Adam's neck.

Adam, putting himself in a defensive position and covering his face, replied fast while laughing. ▶ "I was just kidding. It was a joke, Eve!"

The girl began to laugh too, still in the air. ▶ "I know, silly, I just wanted to hug you!"

Adam, caressing Eve's head, which was attached to his body, replied. ▶ "Haha, it didn't seem like that to me."

The girl, still hugging Adam, raised her head and asked. ▶ "So.. How will we save ourselves if the power plant doesn't work?"

Adam sighed, looking down at his companion. ▶ "I'll use something they didn't had..

Pointing at the chest ▶ "My nanomachines! To connect the system and repair damaged cables and objects."

Eve, raising an eyebrow and releasing the embrace, asked. ▶ "But won't we lose a lot of them this way?"

Adam, placing his hand on his chin, replied.

▶ "It's possible, but the machines don't seem to be in such a bad state. Plus, we have 3 containers filled, mostly at 40%, so it's worth it."

The girl, out of joy, started shouting, ▶ "YEEE, we're still alive!"

The android, with a serious expression, placed both hands flat on the console and said.

▶ "Alright, you can go!"

As he breathed deeply from his chest, small pieces of metal began to move, heading towards his arms, then further down towards his hands, where they formed thin and sharp bars, breaking into the console, filling it, repairing it, and circulating through the cables.

With a surreal concentration, he reassured Eve, who was looking worried. ▶ "Don't worry, everything should be fine. I've already repaired the console."

The girl asked. ▶ "Can I do anything?"

The android, in the midst of restoring the light cables, responded.

▶ "For now, you can integrate our system into the console so that we can manage everything more easily from here and not have to change rooms."

The girl moved and touched Adam's back so she could be in contact with the console, and she also began to take control of some nanomachines to change the management system.

▶ "I'm almost done; I'm finishing overwriting these last files."

Adam replied. ▶ "Good! This costs us 1% of the battery."

Inclining his head and speaking in a tone with a hint of concern, he continued.

▶ "Which leaves us with 5% battery remaining, but will charge to 4.5% in 5 minutes due to the activation of the nanomachines.

Sighing, he added to Eve, who was still looking worried. ▶ "I'll also use another 3% to activate the entire power plant for 3 hours and generate enough power, leaving us with 1.5% remaining.."

Eve asked, looking at Adam seriously. ▶ "And how will we survive those 3 hours if the system uses 2.5% every hour?

The android, after finishing the repair work, said. ▶ "I don't know.. This time it's not a joke.."

The two remained still and looked into each other's eyes.

Adam whispered slowly. ▶ "I think you know the ending.."

Eve replied, convinced. ▶ "NO! I don't know the ending!" Her voice echoed throughout the room.

Looking confidently into her companion's white eyes, she added.

▶ "We haven't lost yet, remember.. We stood against that door, survived that crazy maniac, and now we'll even make it out of here!"

The two stared at each other there in the dark for a few more seconds without saying anything

▶ "T—his.. Issn't thee You Ii knoww..."

After uttering those words, the girl's expression began to change.

Initially marked by determination, her face slowly softened, revealing a hidden vulnerability.

Her eyes, which had stared into her companion's with an inexhaustible force, began to tremble like leaves stirred by an imperceptible wind.

A glimmer of sadness passed through her gaze as the first tears formed at the edges of her eyelids, shining faintly in the dim light.

Heavy with unspoken emotion, the drops started to slide down, tracing moist paths on her pale cheeks.

Each tear, reflecting the scant light present, seemed to carry fragments of shattered hope.

As they fell, their small yet distinct sound broke the silence of the room, a liquid whisper that spoke of broken hearts and lost dreams.

Her expression, now dissolved into a face marked by pain, conveyed a sense of irretrievable loss, as if, at that moment, she had let go of a part of herself, a part that perhaps she would never find again.

Adam, he looked at her, broken for not being able to save them from that cruel fate, and as he caressed Eve's cheeks to make her stop crying, he replied.

▶ "Thank you! Eve.. And I apologize if I let myself get carried away by the situation. I promise to be more careful!"

Eve, upon hearing Adam's words, began to cry even more and replied, ▶"Lokz, wee in thhis toggetherr, y—you're n not alone.."

The android, noticing that the girl was still crying, extended its arms and hugged her tightly.

▶ "There is a way.. But it's very risky. I really didn't want to use it."

Eve raised her gaze while she was still drying her tears and asked. ▶ "Indeed, you won't do it; We will do it together! What is it about?"

▶"I don't have time to explain.. Saving on light, should be enough energy.. Get ready, I'm activating hibernation mode!"

In an instant, Adam's vitality vanished, leaving his body to slam against the console in the middle of the room.

▶"Wha.." The girl, still confused, managed to utter half a word, when the mode activated, making everything darker than the previous darkness.

After this, total silence reigned supreme, with only some annoying rats acting as jesters entertaining the void.

▶ "Eve, can you hear me?" The voice echoed in the virtual space.

A annoying and intense laugh echoed in the air, like that of a fox. ▶ "She can't, but I can.."

Agitated, the presumed owner of the virtual space asked.▶ "What, who are you? Where is Eve? Have you done something to her?"

🔺− ☞ 🥌 ☜ −🔺

Then a calm voice replied. ▶ "I'm here, Adam, what's going on?"

With a sigh. ▶ "There was someone before..."

Eve, still confused, asked. ▶ "A voice? Are you telling me that guy is back?"

Adam, trying as an instinct to put his hand on his head again but failing. ▶ "NO!NO, I hope not.. We are in a virtual space here, where there is no physical body, but we can talk, and it was right here that a voice spoke to me!"

▶ "Are you telling me that you're cheating on me with another artificial intelligence?"

Adam, also confused at this point, replied. ▶ "What? No! But there was someone here.."

Eve continued laughing. ▶ "I was just joking.. If it's here, it must certainly be the scientist's technology, and maybe even the same "This is cheating!"

Adam, forgetting about the current location, tried to nod, failing.

▶ "You're right.. For now let's worry about the battery! Fortunately, we've connected the system so that I can monitor the central from here."

▶ "Oh, so this is possible too?" Eve asked.

▶ "Yes, but I didn't really want to use this method because with hibernation, we risk either running out of battery, which has been minimized, or not waking up again.."

Laughing ironically. ▶ "Oh, so we're not risking much.. Well, it was a GOOD idea."

Still confused, the girl continued.▶ "Where are you? I can't see you."

▶ "It's normal here, we don't have a body.. just to save energy."

▶ "By the way, what are you doing now, Adam? To generate electricity?"

Adam, wanting to continue, moved his clasped hands, resembling praying hands near his mouth, bringing them down, forgetting once again where he was.

Full of anger, he complained, saying. ▶ "I HATE NOT HAVING A BODY!"

Eve, listening to the words, began to laugh slowly and retorted. ▶ "See why I react in those real ways, haha."

Adam replied. ▶ "It's really frustrating.."

The girl sighed and said. ▶ "Alright, then explain to me, how are you going to generate electricity and maybe save us?"

Clearing his voice with 2 attempts, Adam continued his initial speech.

▶"From the bunkers, the coal is fed into strong mills that turn it into a very fine powder. This powder is then mixed with hot air and blown into the boiler."

▶ "Here, the coal and air mixture is burned to achieve complete combustion and generate maximum heat."

▶ "Above these boilers, there are usually tubes full of water, and the converted heat heats the fluid until it becomes steam, which can reach temperatures of 500°C (1100 °F)."

▶ "This steam passes through turbines before being converted back into water and reused."

With a serious voice, Adam asked. ▶ "Everything clear?"

▶ "Well, it all makes a lot of sense so far.."

▶ "That's Good because now comes the somewhat more complicated part, so try to imagine the words I'm saying. "

▶ "There are usually four turbines... Ok.. Try to listen carefully!"

▶ "The first machine is called the High-Pressure Turbine and is positioned at the beginning of the energy process."

▶ "It stands out for its imposing presence with robust blades, expertly designed to handle high-pressure steam safely. In a ballet of engineering precision, this turbine plays a cardinal role in the energy generation ecosystem. With mastery, it converts the kinetic energy of steam.

▶ "Ww..wait, what about kinetic energy? Asked Eve with a curious face.

With a desperate voice, Adam replied. ▶ "Kinetic energy is the energy associated with the movement of an object.. In simple terms, when an object is in motion, it has kinetic energy!

▶ "Its quantity depends on the mass of the object and its velocity. The heavier an object is and the faster it moves, the more kinetic energy it has."

▶ "The mathematical formula to calculate kinetic energy is KE=21mv2 and 1/2 m v^2, where 'm' is the object's mass and 'v' is its velocity!"

Noticing no answer from Eve, which was even more confusing, he sighed and said. ▶ "Do you know those experiments where you throw a watermelon on the ground? Well, it's like that...

▶ "Then imagine a mill, the force of the wind rotates the blades of the windmill, which in turn move an internal mechanism."

As she understood, Eve's face finally lit up, and she replied. ▶ "Ah, thank you, Adam. Now everything is clear about the Ki Ti force."

Visibly in pain, Adam tried to cover his face with his hands, failed, and continued his speech about the turbines.

▶ "With mastery, it converts the kinetic energy of steam from the powerful boiler into a vigorous mechanical force. This primal step in the energy production cycle is a crucial act where the power of steam is skillfully molded to initiate the first triumphant impulse to the generator."

▶"After that, the steam discharged from the high-pressure turbine returns to the boiler to be reheated. This step is crucial to maintain the optimal temperature and pressure of the steam before it enters the next phase of the cycle."

▶ "Alright, now we're at the second turbine, the middle one."

▶ "Also called the intermediate-pressure turbine, which is strategically positioned at the heart of the energy cycle, presents itself with a balanced size compared to its counterparts, also revealing blades specially designed to govern the steam at intermediate pressure and temperature skillfully."

▶ "Its role in the energy saga is of fundamental importance, acting as the guardian of optimal energy flow, contributing to shaping and masterfully harnessing the energy of steam before it embarks on the concluding phase of its journey.."

Noticing Eve was not speaking and about to fall asleep, he said aloud. ▶ "Be careful for a little longer, okay?"

Startled by the loud noise, Eve tried to jumped, reacting immediately, and responded without thinking, ▶ "Okay, okay.."

Adam warmed up his vocal cords as the only thing he could do and resumed the speech.

▶ "In the coordinated dance of kinetic energy conversion, the intermediate-pressure turbine emerges as a key protagonist, expertly fulfilling its crucial task in maintaining the efficient and unstoppable energy flow."

Now, with an emotional voice, the android said. ▶ "So, let's move on to the final act of our beloved turbines.."

▶ "With the majestic pair of low-pressure turbines, undisputed queens of the concluding phase of the energy cycle also present themselves with imposing dimensions and blades wisely designed to dominate the low-pressure and temperature steam. Their imposing presence marks the culmination of an extraordinary energy journey."

Trying to think that Eve was not sleeping, he continued.

▶ "In a triumphant epilogue, these turbines perform a symphonic dance, skillfully extracting the residual energy trapped in the steam, ensuring that every drop of power is maximized."

▶ "Their role holds unsurpassed cruciality in optimizing the overall system efficiency, shaping the final destiny of the steam before it condenses into water and returns to the boiler for a new cycle.

And with a tear rolling down his cheek, he finished the story about the turbines.

▶ "In the final ritual, the steam, now deprived of its energy charge, gives its last essence to these low-pressure turbines, where each rotation of their blades represents a final victory in the incessant effort to harness the energy from the process fully."

But turning quickly, Adam shouted towards Eve, ▶ "BUT IT DOESN'T END HERE!"

This caused the girl an even greater scare than before, and she responded with a complaint. ▶ "BUT HOW... COME ON, IT WAS OVER?"

Adam laughed and said, ▶ "Do you think it's over? Haha, sorry, but we still have a few things.."

He resumed the duo discourse.

▶ "There still is the shaft connected to the blades of each turbine that converts mechanical energy into electrical energy as it rotates inside the adjacent electrical generator.

▶ "And.."

▶ "This conversion process completes the cycle, generating electrical energy ready for use!"

Eve, incredulously managing to stay awake this time, asked. ▶ "So, have you finished?"

Adam replied, disheartened, with a simple ▶ "Yes!"

The girl immaginate to stood up, and while stretched her legs, asked. ▶ "Well, now that you've shared this information, and we've lost an hour, How fare are you?"

Adam replied with a sad tone. ▶ "Well, actually, there's still a little bit left.."

The girl, now with a full head, replied. ▶ "AAAAAAAAAAA.. No, I'll remain awake. If I close my eyes again, I might faint.."

Adam, then, with a serious voice, determined to finish his story finally, continued..

▶ "Finally, the generated electricity passes through a voltage transformer, visible down there, where its voltage increases. It then passes through power lines that carry electricity to everyone's homes! END!"

Eve, finally free, decided to scream but was interrupted again by Adam.

▶ "As for the steam, it is directed through pipes to a condenser that converts it back into water after passing through the low-pressure turbine. This water constantly travels between the condenser and an external building where it is cooled."

▶ "Fortunately, this plant doesn't seem too advanced; it's quite primitive. I wonder how it still manages to exist.."

There was a minute of silence from both of them.

Then Eve flew away, screaming, ▶ "I'LL BE BACK SOON, DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE BATTERY, MY DEAR.. TURBINE LOVER!"
