Emmia was packing up just as the bell rang. Mind you there wasn't a physical bell, the sound just resounded across the campus from an unknown source signaling the end of the school day. She shoved all her notes and books into her bag in the most technical way possible.
And by that, she scooped everything off her table and dumped them into her bag. Struggling to close the bulging bag, Emmia realized she had a spectator. Luna watched fascinated by the fact that so little could fill up the bag so much so that it looked like an obese domestic animal which was struggling to avoid a bath.
Sefir soon joined to watch Emmia with Luna.
"How many times do I have to tell you that you should just arrange them neatly-" Sefir started to scold Emmia.
"Shut. Up. It's more efficient. It's a waste to organise. Each time you pack your. Bag." With that last word in, Emmia finally closed the bag zip.
Triumphant, Emmia slung the bag over her shoulder and gloated in Sefir's face.
"That method will fail," Sefir stated with annoyance in response to Emmia's smirk.
"Yea, yea. If you can't do this then blame yourself for your bad skills," Emmia snickered.
The trio left the classroom when Emmia realised something.
"Where's Ica?" Emmia asked in general after noticing her brother hadn't come back after lunch.
"Oh, he's probably asleep," Sefir answered with a shrug.
"Mmm, yea your probably riiii-" Emmia was saying while she turned a corner and bumped into someone. Falling down, the insides of her bag finally began their revolt. The zip, no longer able to contain the rebellion, snapped with a pop and all of Emmia's things came spilling out.
Emmia sat in a daze at her disaster of a bag, before snapping out of it to give an apology for bumping into that person.
Looking up, Emmia's words were stuck in her throat as the person looked down at her.
The first thing that caught her attention was his baby blue eyes that radiated innocence. Seeming sparkling, his eyes contained a worry. A worry that was directed towards the fallen Emmia. His black hair perfectly framed his face that seemed to radiate the same innocence as his eyes.
"Are you ok?" He asked, moving his perfect jawline to create a melodious voice that leaked concern.
"Y-yea," Emmia responded still slightly stunned. She couldn't bring herself to say the words 'Are you ok too?'
Finally noticing her broken bag, the boy crouched down and started picking up books and loose papers.
"T-thanks." Emmia stuttered out and started to gather her own papers.
Sefir and Luna helped as well. Keeping an eye on the pretty boy, Sefir collected Emmia's books, while Luna was expressionless as always.
Finally collecting everything, the boy handed Emmia the papers and books that he had collected.
"T-thanks," Emmia repeated like a broken record.
"Your welcome," The boy smiled, his smile shining like the sun.
"I'm Chase Lavington. What about you?"
"Emmia," Emmia managed to say without stuttering.
"Sefir," Sefir suddenly interjected himself into the conversation.
Chase's eyebrows twitched for a second before returning to his easygoing state.
"Nice to meet you both. Now I must get going. Maybe we'll meet again soon," Chase pointed his last words at Emmia. Standing up, he strode away with a smile that seemed to have many hidden meanings.
Emmia and Sefir stood up as well to join Luna who had already stood up after helping.
Her gaze followed Chase as he walked away, her eyes unreadable as always.
Sefir sighed, "Dammed pretty boys." He muttered and led the trio out towards the exit.
Emmia gave one last glance towards Chase and shook her head.
"Thanks, guys," Emmia thanked the two after she caught up to them.
"Don't mention it," Sefir said absentmindedly. Suddenly remembering, Sefir smirked, "Also, I told you so."
Emmia pressed her lips together into a line. Unable to refute what had just happened, she chose the option of not responding at all.
Sefir grinned at her reaction and went back into his thoughts. The trio walked in silence, each into their own thoughts, even Emmia was unusually silent.
Now outside, Sefir excused himself and headed towards the boys' dorms.
"Bye Sef!" Emmia waved goodbye and turned to Luna.
The black-haired girl was staring at Emmia with her obsidian black eyes, hesitating as if to say something.
"Is anything wrong?" Emmia tilted her head in confusion at her friend's behavior.
In the end, Luna just shook her head and said softly, "....bye...see you tomorrow."
Emmia smiled and waved goodbye as well. "Byee~"
Turning Emmia headed in a certain direction.
Luna watched her go, watching her friend until she disappeared down the street into the crowd.
Luna had finally made a friend or someone whom she hoped she could consider a friend. And that came with the feeling to help her out if she was ever in trouble.
What Luna had wanted to tell Emmia was that...
---------
A black-haired boy was seen leaning against a railway on a terrace of some building of the academy. How had he gotten there was a question for later.
Currently, he was watching Emmia disappear into the crowds after parting with that black-haired friend of hers.
He smiled, but this time it didn't light up anything, the smile was dark and murky, dripping with a hidden malice.
Taking out a paper, he muttered into it, "I've made contact with the target. She has been charmed successfully."
Tearing it right after, he watched it as it lit up and burnt out of existence.
Giving one last look in the direction of Emmia, Chase turned to leave the terrace satisfied.
In doing so he failed to notice one gaze directed towards him. A certain black-haired girl followed Chase with her obsidian eyes until he disappeared from view.
Thinking to herself, she resolved to keep an eye on the creepy man that had bumped into Emmia by 'accident.'
---------
Now Emmia on the other hand, was thinking only of one thing.
'How can someone be so...ugly?'
