Chapter 7 - chapter 4

Ayan, on the other hand, was used to the media attention, having grown up in a family of politicians. He tried to shield Rhea from the worst of it, but he knew that there was only so much he could do.

As the weeks went on, the media frenzy only intensified. Rhea and Ayan were followed wherever they went, and their every move was documented and analyzed. They tried to stay strong and weather the storm, but it was taking a toll on their relationship.

One day, as they were walking through a park, Rhea broke down in tears. "I can't do this anymore, Ayan," she sobbed. "I can't handle the constant scrutiny and judgment. It's too much."

Ayan hugged her tightly, feeling helpless and frustrated. He knew that the media attention was unfair and unjust, but he didn't know how to make it stop.

"I'm sorry, Rhea," he said softly. "I wish I could protect you from all of this. But I promise you, we'll get through it together."

Rhea looked up at him, her eyes are red and puffy. "I love you, Ayan," she said, her voice shaking. "But I don't know if I can keep doing this. It's too hard."

Ayan felt a pang of fear in his chest. He couldn't imagine his life without Rhea, and the thought of losing her was unbearable.

"We'll figure it out, Rhea," he said, his voice firm. "I know it's hard, but we can't let the media win. We have to fight for our love, no matter what."

Rhea nodded, feeling a glimmer of hope amidst the darkness. She knew that Ayan was right and that they couldn't give up on each other.

Over the next few weeks, they tried to find ways to cope with the media attention. They hired a publicist to help manage their image, and they made a conscious effort to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible.

They also leaned on each other for support, talking openly and honestly about their fears and frustrations. They knew that they were stronger together than they were apart, and they were determined to make it work.

As the media frenzy died down, Rhea and Ayan were able to breathe a sigh of relief. They were still together, still in love, and still committed to making their relationship work.

They knew that there would be more challenges ahead, but they also knew that they had each other. And that was enough.

Years later, as they looked back on their journey, Rhea and Ayan were grateful for the trials they had faced. They had learned so much about themselves and each other, and they had grown stronger as a result.

They had also learned the importance of standing up for what they believed in, even in the face of adversity. They had refused to let the media tear them apart, and they had fought for their love every step of the way.

As they sat together on a park bench, watching the sunset, Ayan took Rhea's hand and looked into her eyes. "I love you more than anything in this world," he said. "And I always will."

Rhea smiled, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. "I love you too, Ayan," she said. "Forever and always."

They sat in silence for a few moments, enjoying each other's company and the beauty of the moment. Then Ayan spoke again.

"You know, Rhea," he said, his voice soft. "I've been thinking a lot lately about our future. About what we want out of life, and where we see ourselves in ten years."

Rhea looked at him, curious. "What do you mean?" she asked.

Ayan took a deep breath. "I mean, I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Rhea," he said. "I want to marry you, and start a family with you, and grow old with you. I want to build a life together, and make all of our dreams come true."

Rhea's eyes widened, and her heart skipped a beat. She had always dreamed of marrying Ayan, of building a life together and starting a family. But she had never dared to say it out loud, for fear of scaring him away.

But now, as she looked into his eyes, she knew that she had nothing to fear. Ayan loved her, and he wanted the same things she did.

Tears welled up in her eyes as she spoke. "Yes, Ayan," she said, her voice trembling. "Yes, I want all of those things with you. I want to marry you, and start a family, and grow old with you. I want to build a life together, and make all of our dreams come true."

Ayan smiled, feeling a weight lifted off his shoulders. He had been so nervous to bring up the topic, afraid that Rhea might not feel the same way. But now he knew that they were on the same page, and he felt a surge of happiness and relief.

They hugged each other tightly, feeling the warmth of each other's bodies and the beating of each other's hearts. They stayed like that for a few minutes, savouring the moment and the joy that they felt.

Finally, they pulled away from each other, and Ayan took out a small box from his pocket. "Rhea, I have something for you," he said, holding out the box.

Rhea's eyes widened as she saw the box. It was small and delicate, with a red ribbon tied around it. She took it from Ayan's hand, feeling a sense of anticipation and excitement.

She untied the ribbon and opened the box, revealing a beautiful diamond ring. The ring was simple and elegant, with a sparkling diamond set in a silver band.

Rhea gasped, feeling a lump form in her throat. She had never seen anything so beautiful in her life. She looked up at Ayan, her eyes shining with tears.

"Ayan, it's beautiful," she said, her voice trembling. "But what is it for?"

Ayan took her hand and slipped the ring onto her finger. "It's an engagement ring, Rhea," he said, his voice soft. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I want to make it official. Will you marry me?"

Rhea's heart swelled with joy as she looked at the ring on her finger. She had dreamed of this moment for so long, and now it was finally happening.

She threw her arms around Ayan's neck and kissed him deeply, feeling the love and passion that they had shared for so long. They stayed like that for a few minutes, lost in the moment and the happiness that they felt.

Finally, they pulled away from each other, and Rhea looked into Ayan's eyes. "Yes, Ayan," she said, her voice trembling. "I will marry you."

Ayan smiled, feeling a sense of relief and happiness. He had been so nervous about proposing, afraid that Rhea might not feel the same way. But now he knew that they were meant to be together, and he felt a surge of joy and love.

They sat together on the park bench, holding hands and talking about their future. They talked about their wedding, their honeymoon, and the life that they wanted to build together.
