*BeepBeep
The sound of a telephone ringing on a table in a restaurant.
"Are you sure that's not important?" A woman is seen saying while reaching for a drink on the table.
A woman with short, shoulder-length black hair and clothes that were considered quite valuable at that time sat at one of the dining table.
"No, it's okay, just ignore it" Louis in front of the woman was also enjoying the food in front of her.
"Hmmm, are you sure you're not going to school?" Louis asked the woman.
"Mmm no, my brother doesn't let me go to a normal school" Said the woman.
"It's fun to be rich, isn't it..." Louis leaned back on the chair.
"Mmmm it depends on people's views. Sometimes people might like that, but to be honest I don't like that." The woman seemed to have a withered expression.
"Getting an easy life but having to sacrifice freedom is not fun at all," continued the woman.
"Mmmm" Louis stared at the woman narrowing his eyes slightly.
"Ah, then I'll go first, I have to pick up my brother at the airport" Said the woman then rushed from her seat.
After a few meters of the woman away, Louis stood up too and called her from behind.
"Rinn" Louis said in a slightly high tone for the woman to hear.
The woman turned towards Louis.
"Yes?"
"Your brother..." Louis seemed hesitant to get his words out.
"Um, forget it, be careful" said Louis.
Rinn was seen smiling for a moment and then turned and left the place.
*Beeps beeps
His cell phone rang again and this time he checked it. Edward's name was written on the screen and then he picked it up.
"What took you so long!!!" Edward sounded irritated through the phone.
"Eh... even though it's my day off..." Louis seemed to sigh after hearing Edward scream into the phone.
"As usual, you are quick to respond, come here quickly, I will send you the address via message" Edward's voice then cut off.
Louis put his phone in his pocket then left the diner. He took his bicycle then used it to go to the address given by Edward.
A few moments later.
Louis arrives at a large building guarded by a large number of police. The entire building was cordoned off by a police cordon. Louis parked his bicycle on the side of the road and then entered the building.
But he was stopped by officers.
"Hey, children are not let in here, this is a police area," said one of the officers on guard.
Hearing that, Louis took out his identification card and showed it to the Officer. Seeing that, the officer immediately let Louis enter the scene.
A few moments later.
"Louis, you're here... come here" Edward called Louis to enter one of the rooms which contained a chair and a tube.
"Ugh, what is this place?" Louis asked Edward.
Edward threw a piece of paper that contained data about this case.
Residents around reported about the strange things that always appeared in the building.
April 22, 2000, his report began to be responded to by the police. And the building began to be investigated.
But the terrible thing was found in the building. the strange structure of the building and the discovery of the bodies of 36 teenagers in the building left the police in an uproar.
After that the police started calling several detective agencies to help with the investigation.
"Is this a laboratory?" Louis looked around the room.
"I don't know." Edward held his chin.
From outside the room Dave came carrying a file to Edward.
"We have found the owner of this building" said Dave.
Edward was seen rushing over and looking at the files Dave had brought with him. After looking at the file, Edward was completely confused.
"This building is a former hotel founded in 1878, and purchased by Baron Vincent in 1989"
"But he died on the same day when buying this building due to unknown causes" continued Dave.
"Does that mean someone else is using this building? This will be more difficult considering there are no other traces" Edward looked worried.
"No Traces? I don't think so." Louis took out one of the tubes in the room and brought it to Edward.
Edward narrowed his eyes to take a closer look. Foreign writing was visible on the back of the tube but it was written in small letters so it was difficult to see.
"What's written there?" Edward could not read the writing because it was foreign to him.
"I don't know, it looks like Chinese writing," said Louis.
Dave who was there snatched the tube then realized something.
"No, it's not Chinese, it's Japanese" Dave looked more closely at the writing.
"Ki..no..kuyama" Dave read it.
Then he remembered the biggest iron company in Japan at that time.
"Kinokuyama... It is the biggest iron company in Japan" Dave said.
"As far as I know they only export to a few other companies in New York" Dave continued.
"I will send several teams to investigate about this, you guys can continue looking for clues here" Dave ran in a different direction.
The hallway filled with shades of white makes the state of the building look terrible.
"You're hiding something?" Louis said after Dave left.
Edward was surprised to hear the question come out of Louis's mouth. He looked at Louis with a slightly worried look.
"Hmmm, it's impossible to hide something from you" Edward said.
Edward took out his cell phone and showed a message to Louis.
it was a message sent by one of Edward's acquaintances who were in government circles.
"Don't get involved in the case any further, let the police and other detectives get involved..." Louis read the message on Edward's cell phone.
"Then what is this thing that makes you uncomfortable?" he asked.
"He is an acquaintance of mine who works under the government directly, it's not usual for him to give a warning like this" Edward looked worried.
"Does that mean there's something the government is hiding about this case right? Then why didn't you tell the police about this?" Louis asked back.
"If I tell it now, things will get bad" Edward said.
Louis took out a pen from his pocket and wrote the word Kinokuyama on his palm. Seeing that, Edward was very surprised.
"Did you write that on the tube earlier?" Edward couldn't help but smile at Louis.
"Well that's it, I suspect if you want to postpone the investigation of this case" said Louis.
"It's that easy to fool the police these days" Louis smiled.
"You sure are brave..." Edward looked amazed.
"Where do we start?" Louis put his pen back into his trouser pocket.
Edward smiled then showed the file that was given by Dave earlier.
"Baron?"
"Come on, we have to move quickly, sooner or later, they will realize if the clues you find lead them astray" Edward walked out of the building.
...
A few hours later.
4:10 p.m., New Jersey
"Baron Vincent bought three buildings at the same time as the building at the scene, one of which is this villa." Edward stared at a villa in front of him that looked shabby and unkempt.
"What does this have to do with the mass murder case?" Louis took a book out of the car.
"The only clue we have is this file, so we have to dig deeper for information about this Baron" Edward said.
"This is a former villa used by students while on vacation before it was bought by the Baron"
"And... all of the victims are teenagers who seem to be still in school, seem to be the same age as you" Edward walked into the empty villa in front of him.
"What clues can we get from here?" he asked.
"No reports of the children missing, but according to the forensic team, some of the bodies there have been there for about a month, very odd" Edward climbed over the fence and into the villa.
Louis followed behind him and entered the villa. Inside the villa looks tidy but with dust everywhere.
They checked all over the villa and found nothing, until they arrived at a locked room.
*Thump
"Ah that's hard" Edward repeatedly tried to break open the door, but it couldn't open.
Louis looked around then started looking for something to use to open the door.
Until he accidentally dropped a vase of flowers. Among the broken flower vases and dirt scattered on the floor, Louis saw a key. He picked it up and realized that it had the same shape as the keyhole of the door that wouldn't open.
Louis walked towards Edward who was trying to break down the door and then gave him the key.
"Uh, where did you get that?" he asked.
Louis pointed at the fallen flower vase.
"You really are awesome," Edward complimented.
Louis smiled proudly and then said.
"Luck is one of my skills"
...
Edward slowly open the door carefully. Although it is quite difficult because the visible keyhole is starting to rust.
Soon, the door opened and they were shocked by the sight in front of them.
It was the same structure as the hotel building that was the previous crime scene.
A corridor along which there is a white room filled with chairs on which there are scattered bones.
