Chapter 40 - Can't be possible-

"Hm, what is it?" Aiden raised his brows and asked her, curious about the news she was going to tell him.

Ivy looked at him for a brief moment before opening her mouth, "Its... The royal dragonling has fully recovered it's life force and is back to being completely normal." She finally told him the good news.

"Really!? Let me see the dragonling!" Aiden exclaimed in joy, their hardwork had finally paid off, they had managed to save the dragonling, what was better than succeeding in something?

"Sure, come with me, I will show you how good the dragonling is." She waved at him, telling him to follow her.

Aiden followed her silently before arriving at the entrance of the room next door.

"The dragonling is here?" Aiden looked at Ivy before opening the door.

"grr~" the dragonling was not a bit aggressive this time. Aiden slightly approached it, making it walk closer to him as well.

As he looked at the dragonling, Aiden couldn't help but feel a sense of amazement. Its scales were shimmering under the light, and its eyes were bright and lively. He reached out his hand to touch its snout, and the dragonling didn't flinch or pull away.

"It's amazing how we were able to save it," Ivy said with a smile, watching as Aiden interacted with the dragonling. Aiden nodded, still in awe of the creature in front of him.

"It really is. I never thought I would be able to interact with a dragon, let alone the royal bloodline itself." They continued to observe the dragonling for a few more minutes before Ivy suggested that they leave it to rest. As they walked out of the room, Aiden turned to her with a thoughtful expression.

"Do you ever wonder what it would be like to have a dragon as a companion?" he asked her.

Ivy chuckled. "As much as I love the idea, I think this can be troublesome..." She looked at him before continuing, "because it is the royal dragon, it will face countless dangers if we keep it as a companion, we can't afford to risk it's life for just to fulfill our wishes, right?" She tried to explain it to him.

"Yeah, you're right, but won't it still face dangers if if stays here alone? It doesn't even have a home and another demon like the old man could pop out of nowhere and torture it again or maybe even kill it..." Aiden said as he thought about it.

Ivy sighed, knowing that Aiden had a point. "I know, but we have to consider the safety of the dragonling first and foremost. We can't just take it with us and hope for the best. We need to come up with a plan to ensure its safety."

She paused, thinking for a moment. "Maybe we can talk to the king and see if he can provide protection for the dragonling. After all, it is a royal dragon."

Aiden nodded, agreeing with Ivy's suggestion. "That's a good idea. We can't just leave it here without any protection."

They continued to discuss their plan for the dragonling's safety as they walked to the elders and the sect master to tell them about their plan.

Aiden couldn't help but feel a sense of responsibility towards the dragonling, knowing that they were the ones who saved its life. As they entered the room where the elders and the sect master was staying at, Ivy turned to Aiden with a serious expression.

"We need to be careful though. The old man who tortured this dragonling was a demon himself, the demons are not gonna leave this matter aside." She said, her tone change to a serious one.

They entered the room and the elders were were just drinking their tea when they saw Aiden and Ivy approaching them along with the dragonling.

They quickly put down their tea cups and stood up to greet the group. "Aiden! you have recovered!" the sect leader understood at the first glance that Aiden was many times stronger than before, his cultivation level had already reached at the pesk of the Practitioner level.

Aiden went closer and smiled brightly at the sect master. He felt like she was his mother for a moment.

At this moment, the other elders were eyeing the dragonling with curiosity.

"We have some news regarding the dragonling," Ivy said, taking charge of the conversation. "It has fully recovered and is back to being completely normal."

The elders' faces lit up in excitement at the news. "That's wonderful! We knew you two were capable of saving it, you worked so hard afterall," another elder said, patting Aiden on the back.

"But we need to be cautious," Aiden spoke up, his expression serious. "The old man who tortured the dragonling was a demon, and we don't know what other demons might come after it."

The elders nodded in agreement, understanding the gravity of the situation. "We will do everything in our power to protect the dragonling," one of them said firmly.

Ivy and Aiden exchanged a look, grateful for the support of the elders.

"We will need to tell the king about this, he has enough power to protect the dragonling for now." Ivy added.

"huh-?" The old sect master suddenly frowned upon seeing the strange mark on Aiden's forehead.

"What happened?" Aiden asked, the others curiously looking at the sect master.

"His forehead-" She then noticed that the dragonling also has a strange mark on it's forehead.

Everyone looked at Aiden's forehead before noticing it.

The old sect master went into a daze for a moment, she couldn't accept what she was seeing right now, "T-this... can't be possible-
