Chapter 7 - Sarena

"How may I.... Aiden!!" The receptionist was just about to ask them but then she saw a familiar figure.

"Is it you... Aiden?" She asked while pointing at Aiden.

"Miss Sarena? You're alive? Didn't everyone get killed when the sect was destroyed?" Aiden also asked after seeing the familiar face under the cloak.

The receptionist that Aiden called Miss Sarena was also wearing cloak, hiding her face to some extent.

Earlier, Aiden only appraised her beauty but didn't notice her that well.

"No... When the sect was being attacked by the MorningStar sect, we all core disciples struggled very hard to fight back but to no avail. When everyone was about to exhaust their energy, the elders told us to run, we were hesistant on leaving first but the elders forced us. But just as everyone was leaving, the Cruel MorningStar sect didn't let the disciples escape. I somehow managed to run away, I wanted to call someone for help but that also didn't work... We-we lost all of our sect people... " Tears formed in Sarena's eyes as soon as she spoke about how the MorningStar sect massacred their sect.

"Don't cry, Sarena... We will take revenge for our sect... for our friends and elders... For the Roy sect, we will return The cruelty a thousand folds." He said while clenching his fist. He didn't even want to listen about the MorningStar sect now. His mind was full of thoughts about taking revenge. But he also understood that he had to re-establish his sect once again to show their true power to the MorningStar sect.

"R-really!? Are you confident about this?" Sarena asked after she heard what Aiden spoke. A new hope lit up in her heart, A hope to make the dead sect people' souls rest in peace. A new goal was set in her mind. She will help the young master Aiden in every situation, she will help him revive the sect, she was even ready to become his slave as long as he Destroyed the MorningStar sect.

Her parents were the elders of the Sect and her sister was a disciple, they were also killed in the tragic incident. She now only wanted to destroy the MorningStar sect at any cost. She was ready to die or kill. The flame of revenge was burning in her heart. The flames would only silent down once the MorningStar sect no longer existed.

"I promise... I promise to you, I will take revenge for your family, or friends and... My family." Aiden promised to her that he will take revenge no matter what.

"Ah, I forgot to ask, what work do you have here?" She asked him with a curious look on her face.

"I am here to register for the duel... I need to earn a lot of money to re-establish the sect. My master here will be betting on me. If I manage to win, we can get many times in return." He told her about his plan.

Hearing this, she was shocked. She instantly remembered that this young master was considered a trash among trash. He couldn't even defeat Chaos Initiates of the first level. He was said to be doomed to be a trash forever. And now, this so-called trash was here to participate in the City's larges duel arena? It was laughable to even think about it.

She decided to change his mindset to participate in the duel or else only his corpse will come out of the arena. She didn't want to stop him but she still cared for Aiden and just couldn't let him jump in hell.

"But... The duel is too fierce, You shouldn't participate in it or you might get hurt..." She purposely used 'get hurt' instead of 'die' because she didn't want to make it seem like she was insulting or belittling him in any way.

"Don't you worry Sarena... I am not the old me. I have changed after the tragedy. My master taught me some good tricks... I am now a Chaos Apprentice at the peak 3rd level." He replied, reassuring her that he will be completely fine.

"Chaos Apprentice!?" she exclaimed in shock.

"Yes... It is a bit fast for a trash like me, but as i said earlier, I have completely changed. I am now a young genius. I am not the trash young master anymore." He said while praising himself without any shame, keeping on a smug expression on his face.

"Yes... You've changed... I can't even sense your cultivation level... this is the effect of a good grade artifact? I am now atleast assured... I will help you register now, and also, I will also bet on you. I believe in your ability." She said with a bright smile.

"Thank you Sarena, I will never forget your help." He and Sarena were always quite close. Their parents were very good friends. That also resulted in the friendship of Aiden and Sarena.

At this happy moment, a certain someone was rolling her eyes because of the boring drama ongoing in front of her.

"Bah! These two kids are acting like long-lost twins...
