JAKE's POV
"Damn! It's delicious! Did Elle bake it?" Tobi asked me.
"Nah. Her mum."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Ah, now I know where Elle inherited her baking skills," said Zed.
I just nodded my head at what they said. Well, that's Elle's favorite thing to do; baking. But anyway, I’m going to ask them about what they did last night.
"So, what happened? Maybe you can tell me now?" I raised a question. "Don't you dare avoid my questions, huh?" I warned, taking a bite of brownie.
"Tobi will tell you everything," Gab said.
I slightly raised my eyebrows, looking at Tobi.
"Okay, okay. Wait a second.” He emptied his mouth first. "This is what happened." And he started telling me what happened to them yesterday.
"Really? Damn! So, you have nothing else to blame but yourself." I said while laughing a little after Tobi told me everything about what happened. "You know how strict our seniors are. They really don't want anyone to touch their belongings. Well, everyone will really get angry when their belonging is being touched, especially if you don’t ask permission.”
"Gab and Zed forced me to borrow a shirt from one of our seniors. But I don't blame them." Tobi laughed.
"It's fine to blame us, bro. It's our fault anyway." Zed.
"Nah, I'm guilty too."
"How about what happened at the bar?" I asked.
"I think that was my fault." Gab laughed a little. "I didn't know that the one I kissed was Rafael's girlfriend."
"I don't think that was your fault," Zed interrupted. "I mean, it's also his girlfriend's fault. She shouldn't kiss another man if she already has a boyfriend. Right?"
"Right, right, right." Tobi agreed. "When you know that you’re already taken, you should be the one to avoid when someone flirts with you."
"Even though. I was the one who insisted on going to their place. It wouldn't have been a mess that night if it wasn't for me."
"Come on, dude! The girl also wanted that kiss so she was a bitch." Tobi.
I just listened to them talking while eating brownies. I seem to be lost in their world. Haha!
"Anyway, what's done is done. Let's forget about that and make sure to be careful next time." Zed.
"Yeah. Right, right, right." Tobi agreed.
"You guys should also apologize to Rafael so that we can have a good relationship with them," I said after their conversation. "They're seniors and we're with them on the team, so it doesn't look good when each of you has a grudge against the other," I added.
"Yeah, you're right. So, we should... really apologize." Gab sighed.
"Of course. It doesn't matter whose fault it is, the important thing is that..." I wasn't able to continue what I was going to say when my phone beeped.
Who is this?
"Anyway, the important thing is you can apologize to each other." I ended my sentence before I took my phone from my pocket.
"Alright. We'll do that."
I looked at the screen of my phone and saw two text messages from an unknown number owned by Lukeweynn.
Tss. What does he want?
I tap the notification icon to open his text message.
/Have you eaten lunch yet?/
/Where are you now?/
I furrowed my forehead. Why is he asking that?
"Who is that and do you seem annoyed?" It was Tobi who asked me.
"Nothing." I put my phone back inside my bag and was about to get a piece of brownie, but the box was empty.
Seriously?
I looked at them with my other eyebrow raised and they just laughed at me.
"I'm sorry, bro. We're really hungry." Gab.
"Yeah, obvious. Come on, I'll treat you guys to lunch. I'm worried to death about you." I said in sarcasm and their faces lit up.
"Is that true, bro!?" Zed asked in enthusiasm.
"Uh." I stood up from sitting. "Come on, before I change my mind."
"Let's go! Let's go!" They immediately stood up. I just laughed a little.
"Let's go?" Tobi asked as he placed his arm around my shoulder.
Ah, right. I remember he promised me something.
"But I haven't forgotten what you told me last night," I told him.
"Huh?" He looked at me, bewildered. "What... did I tell you last night?"
"You owe me. Remember, I'm your brother."
"Ah..." He laughed awkwardly. "Of course, bro! I can't forget that. Don't worry, I'll shoulder your lunch starting tomorrow." He winked.
I chuckled. "Tss."
"Hey! What are you waiting for? Let's go!"
The two of us looked at someone who yelled, and it was Zed.
I didn't realize that Gab and Zed were already in the distance. Jeez. They're not excited, huh?
"Let's go!" Tobi said again, and we walked away from the school field.
We are on our way now to the school cafeteria and as we walked I noticed the strange behavior of the students we met in the hallway, mostly girls and half girl, half boy. Yeah, you know what I mean.
Anyway, what's going on? Why are they thrilled as if they have seen a celebrity?
No way? Is it because of the three of us?
Maybe not. They are not looking at us. Usually, we have their full attention when the three of us pass by. But now, it’s so weird.
"What's going on?" Tobi also asked curiously.
"Looks like a visitor is coming that we don't know about, huh?" Gab commented.
Visitors? Who is that? And there is no announcement that there will be a visitor coming today.
Besides, what kind of visitor is that and all the girls are acting so crazy?
"Oh my god! I just saw him in person! Omg! I can't take it! He's so handsome!"
I heard it from a girl who just passed us.
Handsome???
"Oh, I knew it! There’s a new student." Gab.
A new student? No way!
I did not speak.
Who is this new student? I need to get to know him. Right now.
We just kept walking until we reached the school cafeteria. And I didn’t expect too many students to be there. It's past 11 AM, usually at this time the cafeteria is not that crowded. But now, it looks like there is a food festival.
But what's strange is that almost all the girls are here and they are all thrilled, unable to concentrate on what they are eating.
Wait!
Is the new student here!? Where is he sitting!?
"Oh my god! Jake, look!"
Tobi made me look in the direction where...
"Your father’s secretary is here."
My eyes widened when I saw Lukeweynn.
He was positioned at a table in the center where he became the center of attraction for all. He is wearing a three-unbuttoned white silk polo, where the upper part of his chest is clearly visible.
And he is looking at me, smiling.
What. The... Hell?
What is he doing here?
If so, there’s no new student. But, is he the one that girls are following?
What the...?
"Looks like you're the one he's expecting to come, bro. Let's go. Let's go see him." Tobi whispered to me.
Just then, I remembered his message earlier. Ah, that's why he was asking me that because he's here? Whoah, this crazy guy.
Why did he come here!? All the students here know me. I don’t want them to know that we know each other. Tch!
"Bro, come on. He's waiting." Gab.
"No. I'm not going to him. I don't need anything from him." I said, and I walked over onto the order lane. They followed me.
"What? Well, yeah, you don't, but you know he does. Maybe your father sent him here to tell you something or what," Tobi.
Right. All they knew was that he was my father’s secretary.
"Tss. Dad will text me when he has something he wants to tell me."
"Come on, dude. Maybe your Dad is busy right now so... What's his name again?" Gab asked.
"It's Lukeweynn," Zed answered.
"Oh, right. Lukeweynn. Maybe your Dad is busy right now so he sent Lukeweynn here."
I did not speak. There is no point in this conversation because he is not really Dad's secretary.
"Look at him. All the girls are looking at him but he is only looking at you." Tobi said, whispered, and I looked at Lukeweynn.
Yeah, he was looking at me and he even smiled at me. Shameless indeed!
I averted my eyes from him.
That man is really crazy!
Ah, I'm getting annoyed. Seriously.
"Looks like your Dad is keeping a close eye on you using his secretary," Gab whispered. "Besides, why did he order so much food? No way? Is that for us?"
"Dream on! Tss. Stop talking and order food!”
"Hey, dude. Lukeweynn is coming." Tobi.
My forehead creased. "What?" Turning my head to the left, I saw Lukeweynn walking in our direction.
Will he really come in our direction? Is he crazy already!? Most can't know that I know him. Damn!
As he walked closer in our direction, all the eyes of the girls here were following him. The shopkeepers don't give up either.
Tsk. This crazy guy even steals my place.
"You don't have to order food. I've already ordered for you guys." He said as he was finally standing in front of the three of us.
I didn't speak right away and I looked at everyone's reactions first. Yeah, as I expected, they were surprised, murmuring. I didn't hear what they were whispering but I knew, 'they know each other?' was what they were saying.
I turned my gaze to Lukeweynn and raised my brow slightly. "What are you doing here?"
"Isn't it obvious? I came here to see you. Didn't you read my text?"
"Oh, he was the one who texted you earlier?" Tobi asked, but I didn't answer him. What a nosy guy.
Lukeweynn let out a small smile. "Anyway, I already bought lunch for you guys. Come on." He turned his back and walked back to the table.
"Let's go, Jake. Come on." They pulled me away.
Is there anything else I can do?
When we reached Lukeweynn's spot, we sat down on the chair. The three of us are sitting together on one wide chair across from Lukeweynn.
"Eat, guys." He invited.
"Thank you for this, uh... Sir. We're really hungry because of the punishment that our coach gave us a while ago." Gab.
"Punishment? Ah, is that because of what happened last night?" Lukeweynn asked them.
"Yeah. Thanks also for that night, Sir. If it weren't for you we might be stuck there." Tobi.
Really, guys? I was the reason why you got out of the police station. If it weren't for me, Lukeweynn wouldn't have been there either. Damn.
"No problem. Go eat."
"Yeah. Hey, Jake, let's eat."
I ignored them. I really feel uncomfortable right now. Besides, all the eyes were on us, and I am facing this crazy man. Tss.
"Aren't you going to eat?" He asked me.
"I'm not hungry."
"Really? You're not going here if you're not hungry."
I raised one eyebrow. "Maybe because I am accompanying my friends?” The tone of my voice was a bit annoyed.
"Come on, Jake. You're hungry. Don't pretend to be. Besides, why are you so mean to your Dad's secretary?"
I could see the slight shock in Lukeweynn's eyes at what Zed had said. That’s because he mentioned that secretary's thingy.
What the... Zed!?
"Yeah. Your Dad's secretary is nice, so treat him nicely, OK?" added Tobi.
And that word was repeated, huh?
I bowed my head and bit my lower lip because of shame. It's like I just want to disappear now.
I heard Lukeweynn chuckle.
"It's okay, guys. That's really how... Sir Jake treats me but he's kind... Sometimes."
Ah, I'm fucking embarrassed so I just filled my mouth with food so I couldn't speak.
Until now, the cafeteria is still full of students.
Aren't they leaving yet? What was wrong with Lukeweynn,\ and their eyes almost popped out as they stared at him? Eh?? I'm more handsome than him. Tss.
Since they don't pay attention to me now, I won't pay any attention to them when this crazy man leaves.

[FAST FORWARD]
We finished eating lunch and Tobi, Gab, and Zed went to the comfort room, so Lukeweynn and I were the only ones left at the table. Until now, girls still did not leave the cafeteria.
They finished eating but they ordered food again just to stay inside the cafeteria.
They make me feel uncomfortable.
"I didn't know that I was your father's secretary." He spoke, breaking the silence between us.
"I only said that because I didn't want them to know about us. So just keep up."
"Yeah, I know. Don't worry, I also don't want others to know about us."
I slightly rolled my eyes. "So, why did you come here? What's your purpose?" I asked him with my other eyebrow raised.
He handed me a box. "I came here to return this to you."
"What is this?" Confusion traveled my face.
"Your thing. You left that yesterday in my office."
My thing?
I immediately opened the box and saw my polo. I didn't realize that I had left it.
"Ok. Thanks." I looked at him. "You can leave now."
"Maybe later. I'll stay here for a while."
"What? Why!?”
"I'll wait until your class is over."
My forehead frowned even more at what he said. Does he know what he’s saying!? This is really crazy. He's ruining my day.
"And why do you want to wait for me, huh? If you're going to invite me to dinner, I'm telling you now, I don't want to. So you leave, can you? I don't want to hear gossip about you and me. Do you understand?"
"I told you I'll wait for you until your class is over. We have important things to talk about and you have no choice but to come with me. And why are you worried about what people will think? We're both men. Also, I'm your father's secretary, aren't I?" He grinned.
Guys, he's really annoying.
"Kidding. But why are you really worried? Is there malice when two men are together? Your friends are also men. You are always with them too.”
"That is... that is because they are my friends." I stuttered. Was my answer correct? I was speechless for three seconds at what he said.
"And I'm..."
"Shut up." I cut him off. "I don't want to hear what you have to say. You can leave now. I'm going back to my class." I said and hurriedly stood up. Before I walked away, I faced him once again. "Don't wait for me. Ok? And here's the payment for what we ate. I don’t want to owe you.” I dropped five hundred on the table. After that, I walked out of the cafeteria.
My day is really ruined when I see him. Tsk!
