“Hello.” A deep voice called me out from my thoughts.
“Hi uncle. I called to check if you got any calls from police station?”
“Wow straight to the point just like your father. No pleasantries.” He said chuckling. After a minute he said “Yes cupcake I did receive a call from the police saying the case is being dropped.”
“Then why didn’t you say that to me?”
“I received it during my naptime I thought it was a dream so I totally forgot about it until you asked me.”
“Oh great. I would not have heard about it and the case would have been off the charts if Mandy didn’t say that to me.”
“Amanda said that the case was dropped?” He asked me sounding surprised. Weird.
“Yeahh. We kept Uncle Nick as second contact so they must have called him after calling you.”
“Yeah, right. Okay cupcake I gotta go I was in between a meeting. Where are you now? When are you coming to meet me?”
