Despite the grandeur of the office, Luna felt a sense of unease wash over her. She knew this was not just any conversation with her father, for he was staring at her with an intense gaze.
Luna's father studied her face with a furrowed brow, his eyes darkening with a brooding anger that was as deep as the ocean.
"We'll talk to the council, maybe they can help us find a way to sever the bond without harming you." he said through gritted teeth, his tone hard and cold.
"But if you think for one moment that I'm going to let you be bonded to that...that abomination, then you've got another thing coming."
Luna's heart sank like a stone at the venom in her father's voice. She had known he wouldn't take the news well, but she had never seen him this angry before.
