Luna frowned, her suspicion growing. "What do you mean?"
"I mean, how do you know that a vampire is responsible for this?" Riley pressed.
Luna hesitated, realizing her next few responses were crucial at this point. "I don't know for sure, but it's a possibility. A werewolf can't possibly rip out another's heart, right?"
Riley sighed, running a hand through his hair. "We can't afford to jump to conclusions without concrete evidence. We need to be sure before we make any moves."
Luna nodded, feeling chastened. "You're right. I'll be more careful from now on."
Riley placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "It's okay. We're all on edge right now. Let's just finish and head back."
Riley nodded in agreement, and they set off towards the clearing. The pack had already gathered, and the mood was somber as they laid the dead werewolf to rest.
As they made their way back to the cabin, Luna couldn't shake the feeling that there was more going on than they knew.
