Kaelen continued on his journey, moving deeper into the forest. As he walked, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being followed. He stopped and scanned his surroundings, but saw no one.
Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. It was a woman, dressed in dark robes and carrying a staff. She had long, flowing hair and piercing blue eyes.
"Who are you?" Kaelen asked warily.
"I am Lyra," the woman said. "I've been sent to assist you."
Kaelen raised an eyebrow. "Assist me?" he repeated. "Why?"
"Because we share a common enemy," Lyra said. "The mage council. I've been fighting against them for years, but I can't do it alone. Together, we can bring them down."
Kaelen was skeptical. He had always worked alone, and he didn't trust easily. But something about Lyra's presence reassured him.
"Very well," he said. "But I warn you, I won't tolerate any betrayal."
Lyra nodded. "I understand," she said. "Now, let's move. We have much to do."
And with that, the two mages set off deeper into the forest, ready to take on the mage council and bring justice to the land.
