Abbot answered the incident room phone.
"Detective Abbot" he said.
"I want to talk to detective superintendent Thompson please" came a man's voice from the other end.
"She's not here at the moment. Can I take a message?" Abbot asked.
"She wanted the killer to call the incident room. That's what I'm doing" he told him.
"First I need you to tell me something about the victims so that I know you are who you say you are" Abbot told him. The others looked at Abbot, waiting for answers. Jack felt his temples, they were getting close to catching this killer.
"I painted their nails, red. I tied them to the bed. I raped them" He told Abbot.
Adeline sat at the hospital with Pierce, waiting to hear back about their latest almost victim, when he phone rang.
"Ma'am, we think we have the killer on the line. He wants to talk to you" Abbot told her.
"Are you tracing the call?" Adeline asked.
"Yes, ma'am. He's calling through an unregistered mobile. We're trying to triangulate his location" he told her.
"Put him through" Adeline ordered him.
"Adeline. How lovely it is to hear your voice again" he smiled down the phone.
"You wanted to talk to me?" She asked.
"I want a private conversation, I know they're listening in" He said.
"07629201553" she told him, hanging up the phone.
"What number is that?" Jack asked the team.
"I think it's her private number" Taylor said.
"She's just given her private number to a serial killer" Jack said in shock and in anger.
"Pierce in my bag there is my phone and phone recorder" Adeline directed her. Adeline plugged her phone in and waited for him to call, each passing second made her heart beat faster. As the phone rang out, Adeline took a deep breath, letting it ring once more before she answered.
"Hello" Adeline said.
"Hello again, Adeline" he smiled.
"You've finally got me to yourself. What did you want to tell me?" She asked.
"I've already had you to myself" he smirked down the phone.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"My name is Johnny" He said, turning her blood to ice "Are you surprised?" He smirked.
"I think it was reckless of you to get into bed with the officer working your case" Adeline said and Johnny chuckled.
"I don't regret it. Your captivating to me Adeline" Johnny smiled.
"Your a fool. I know your face. I have your DNA" she told him.
"All that proves is that we slept together. It doesn't prove that I killed those girls" he smirked "I know you Adeline, probably more than you know me. Your a mess of gorgeous chaos, I saw it in your eyes during the first press conference. William Glasser once wrote 'What happened in the past, however painful, has a great deal to do with what we are today' Your hurting. We're more alike than you think" he said.
"You hurt people. I protect people from killers like you. I know that you studied literature, latin. You see these women as higher than you and you hate that. You think they're playing the role of angel when really they're sluts. You tie them to the bed to keep control over them whilst you rape them, you hold their throats squeezing to keep them silent. You strangle them as you cum. Tell me do your daughters know who you really are?" Adeline asked.
"What?" He asked in shock.
"The note you left me had an imprint of a child's drawing. It had a house and two parents and two daughters" she told him.
"Are you jealous?" He asked making Adeline scoff "I allow myself to love and indulge in carnal pleasures. What do you do Adeline? I can't wait to find out. Goodbye. For now" Johnny said hanging up the phone.
