Merida rinsed her eyes over and over again in a basin trying to cleanse that image out of her head. She knew that Lilith never returned last night and when she questioned Erina the man acted like someone owed him millions or something. She knew he would never leave her alone out in the wild so it meant Lilith was fine just unable to return.
As soon as the sun rose she left the mountains with the scouts and hunters who were sharpening their weapons before going to search for some half woman half snake or whatever. Their story about what happened last night didn't make sense at all thus she ignored them and went down to the small town against their wishes. Who would have thought when she came to find Lilith in her home she would find this unexpected scene? After this, she vowed that she would always knock on Lilith's bedroom door no matter how urgent the situation was.
