The room soon fell into silence with the fading sounds of people talking in the passageway outside. Lilith glanced outside the crystal windows while speaking her expression distant, "Does this elder have something to say?"
Elder Mrik, Erina's father, stood a few feet from her with arms folded behind his back. He glanced at Merida who was still standing by the corner with slight impatience in her eyes like she was eager to get rid of him.
"My lord," he said with slight annoyance in his voice, "may we speak… in private?"
Merida, "…"
'You got to be fucking kidding me,' she thought almost rolling her eyes. Merida was a hundred percent sure that Lilith wouldn't ask her to leave but a second later her face was slapped so hard it was dizzying.
Lilith subtly nodded her head gesturing for her to give them a minute and thus she puffed up her cheeks and walked out her face ridden with complaints. She was so annoyed that she didn't even bother closing the door.
