Chapter 13 - That vile omega who seduced her alpha

"I know she is a charming goddess but a beautiful female like her can't be with a sickly person like you. You wouldn't even know what to do with her to begin with….. What I want is simple…. Stay away from her. If you so much as look at her, smile at her, catch a whiff of her fragrance I will end you. No, no, no actually….. I will make sure you won't be able to find this and then end you. Do I make myself clear?"

Aperius who still had no fucking clue what his brother was on about didn't want to know nor did he want to have anything to do with any female in the pack.

He made sure he avoided them at all costs. The elders and some males in the pack were always guarding against him like he would mark a female while they weren't looking.

According to them, he was weak, and naturally the weak didn't have the right to pass down their useless seed. Unfortunately for them, despite having a cursed body, Aperius was extremely handsome like an immortal god walking among man.

When he looked at someone with those almond-shaped eyes the most loyal of females devoted to their mate would feel weak at the knees.

He was a calamity waiting to happen. It's a pity that he was weak otherwise he would be a top-quality alpha in this clan. Hence there would occasionally be females trying to approach him. It was because of this that he eventually noticed a pattern.

Whenever a female tried to be nice to him or stared at him longer than she should, those half brothers of his would find trouble with him. They would make up some bogus story to their mother and soon he would be dragged out here. Seventy-five percent of his punishments were a result of some girl they were interested in giving him a second glance.

Leaving such a sentence Olcan walked away with a gratified expression. Aperius just watched him leave burning holes in his back with a disdainful look in his eyes.

He didn't care what they did to him but now that Olcan had started it then they shouldn't blame him for being ruthless.

His muscles and joints suddenly softened with his source of strength from before abruptly withdrawing from his body. His head fell limply and his long black hair scattered covering his face like before. His chest rose and fell feebly like he was knocking at death's door.

His fingers that were tightly clenched into fists loosened revealing shallow wounds from his nails digging into his palms. In between the strands of his hair, one could faintly see a slight quirk at the corner of his lips upturned into a malevolent smile.

In a large hall constructed with a freakish blend of both gothic and Greek architecture, a man in a thick fur coat sat on an elevated gilded throne with a bleak expression, his thoughts a mystery.

The ten-foot throne was especially intimidating with towering barbs that spread in all directions. The barbs were marked with elaborate markings only a few would be able to discern.

Behind him hung two banners each with a graffiti drawing of wolves with a black Lycius symbol on their foreheads. Wisps of smoke from the burning incense floated graciously in the air giving off a tranquil atmosphere able to calm one's demons.

Rays of sunlight seeped through the crystal windows shedding light on the lone figure atop the throne. His posture appeared relaxed but his heart was chaotic. Not even the calming incense could soothe his tremulous heart.

A young maiden dressed in an ordinary brown kirtle unflattering to her figure emerged from behind one of the twenty-five feet statues of sitting wolves howling.

She bowed before him with her hands crossed over her abdomen. She was a beautiful girl but her face and hair were deliberately made up in a way that downgraded her beauty.

In a soft-spoken voice, she said, "My lord…. It is time to take your medicine."

The alpha lazily opened his eyes and glanced in her direction before letting out a soft hum of agreement. The girl quickly brought forth a small wooden tray with a steaming bowl of medicine. She shakily knelt on the floor and raised her hands holding the bowl while keeping her head lowered not daring to look at him.

The figure emerged from within the shadows bringing his handsome face into the light. He was a top-quality alpha with sword-like eyebrows giving him a domineering aura. His meticulous face was chiseled to perfection with angular cheekbones carved down towards a flinty jaw.

His eyes were a mesmerizing emerald color but they seemed to hold tangled calamitous energy difficult to unwind. On his left eye was a scar running from his forehead past his eye down to his cheek. It appeared like a claw or something similar had torn half his face with deadly intent leaving behind a hideous scar enough to bring babies to tears upon sight.

He reached for the bowl of medicine but before he could touch it, the door was suddenly and violently pushed open by a group of people that casually walked into the hall.

In front of the entourage of maidservants was a ravishing beauty with an exquisite figure. She was clad in a long red dress made of lycra with long veil sleeves. Her silver hair was braided up with a floral diamond-crusted headband completing her look.

Her lips were a bloody red color complimenting her dress. She was a gorgeous woman but she put on so much rouge to cover up her insecurities.

With a loud scoff, she flung her sleeve before walking over to the girl who was still kneeling before her alpha. Her expression darkened further as she stared at the girl's exposed skin at the back of her neck. It was smooth like porcelain reminding her of that vile omega who seduced her alpha.

Overtaken by jealousy she grabbed the bowl of medicine out of her hand and commanded, "Take her away and sell her off to the highest bidder."

The girl's body stiffened before she broke down crying. She had followed the steward's every instruction and covered herself up even wearing makeup that made her less appealing. But despite all her efforts she was still thrown out like a piece of trash and was to be sold off to the highest bidder at the auction house.
