In an instant, the scene turned chaotic with the hunters dropping on the ground blood splattering everywhere, their flesh tone from their throats.
But like a sharp-eyed predator, the head hunter dodged the gorgon's attacks and found his way toward Aperius.
"Rule number one, you never betray the pack you bastard," said the man as a touch of scarlet flashed in his eyes.
As that strong paw swiped past his face a sharp flow of air blew on his neck showing Aperius how lucky he was having dodged that killing strike.
In a swift move, Aperius dodged the next series of attacks but his body was already exhibiting signs of exhaustion. "Betray the pack? Humph… how can I have betrayed them when they already betrayed me? This is retribution," said Aperius as he sped past the cave pillars trying to get away.
