Chereads / The Merry Knight / Chapter 4 - Boss Doo-Doo Rabbit

Chapter 4 - Boss Doo-Doo Rabbit

As a level 10 soldier, I had the option to change my class to a warrior, knight, archer, or assassin. I decided to become a knight and allocated my points accordingly. Although knights should focus on allocating points to strength and physique in a 2:3 ratio, my attributes were already strong, and my physique was sufficient. I allocated points to strength to increase my attack power and level up faster.

One step ahead, always leading the way; this principle can never be wrong.

Wait, what is this glowing metal?

Using my "Insight" skill, I realized it was low-grade iron ore, which could be used to create simple equipment.

Ah, this was the iron ore the blacksmith needed. I took out my "Iron Pickaxe" and began mining the ore.

Immediately, I moved towards another iron ore deposit near a mutated rat.

Damn it, it bit me in the ass! Mutated rats guard the iron ore, and once a player tries to steal it, they will attack.

But how dare it bite me? I'll take care of it first.

After killing more than 20 mutated rats, a yellow hammer with a yellow aura dropped on the ground. It was a piece of golden equipment! Luck was on my side. Overjoyed, I quickly picked it up.

It turned out to be the blacksmith's golden hammer, but unfortunately, it was a quest item and could not be used.

During a flurry of attacks, as I was killing higher-level monsters, I received experience bonuses, and quickly leveled up. After an hour, with a full value of 20 luck bonuses, I defeated 10 soldier-class enemies and 8 mage-class enemies. Half of the equipment I looted was blue quality, and I also obtained 13 bottles of small red (minor health restoration potions), 15 bottles of small blue (minor magic restoration potions), 1 gold coin, 60 silver coins, and enough iron ore for the blacksmith.

The drop rates of equipment and currency in "King of Glory" are extremely low. Although low-level equipment is easy to obtain in the novice village, I managed to collect 18 pieces in no time. Apart from myself, who is fortunate enough to have this level of luck, I wonder if any other player possesses this ability.

"Congratulations, Stone City has now reached level 5. Your health and mana have increased by 10, your luck has increased by 1, and you have 5 attribute points to allocate," the system prompted.

Reaching level 5 so quickly indicates that power leveling is the way to go. I shall adhere to this approach in the future.

I allocated 3 points to strength and 2 points to endurance, continuing with this allocation method. I also equipped myself with level 5 soldier equipment.

Soldier Steel Sword, a blue piece of equipment, requires level 5 and provides an attack of 10. It also has additional attributes of strength 5, attack 10, and a 2% chance of a critical hit.

Soldier's jacket, a blue piece of equipment, requires level 5 and provides defense of 10. It also has an additional attribute of endurance 5.

Soldier's pants, a blue piece of equipment, requires level 5 and provides defense of 10. It also has an additional attribute of endurance 5.

Soldier's shoes, a blue piece of equipment, requires level 5 and provides defense of 10. It also has an additional attribute of agility 5.

After equipping the new weapons and equipment, one could not help but remain speechless. This kind of growth is truly commendable. Since the task of the blacksmith has been completed with the acquisition of new equipment, it is time to explore new places and challenge new monsters, testing the power of the new equipment.

Now, with both Little Red and Little Blue, one can rest assured that they could take on even the most advanced of monsters.

Small health recovery potion: restores 20 health points per second for 10 seconds.

Small mana recovery potion: restores 20 magic points per second for 10 seconds.

Continuing down the road and climbing a small hill in search of more advanced monsters, I came across three enchanted rabbits leisurely wandering about.

These were not ordinary enchanted rabbits, as they differed from the norm by their larger size. One of them, in particular, had a plump and cute appearance with white fur all over its body.

"Bossa! It's a Bossa! I'm lucky to have stumbled upon it." It would be foolish not to attack a Bossa, as they appear randomly and unpredictably. In order to defeat a Bossa, not only must one possess strength, but also luck.

Using my Insight ability, I gained knowledge about the rabbits: the plump one was a level 10 Bossa with 1000 HP and a Carrot Attack skill. It was also the girlfriend of the Golden Rabbit King and enjoyed roaming the grasslands. Its two guards were level 8, with 800 HP, and were there to protect the Golden Rabbit King's girlfriend.

Though they may have been labeled as "girlfriend" and "boyfriend," it did not matter. As monsters enchanted by the devil, they were to be destroyed without mercy.

Without knowledge of the rabbits' defensive and offensive capabilities, I dared not recklessly charge into battle. Instead, I waited for the right moment to strike. If only I had the Knight's Taunt skill, I could draw them out one by one and dispatch them slowly.

Seizing the opportunity, I charged at one of the rabbit guards with my "Strike" skill. With my new ally, Little Blue, I was now assured of victory when using my skills.

With a series of hits, the rabbit guard's HP dropped by 80, 100, and 90 points. I was not without injury myself, however, as I received a blow that caused a -30 drop in my HP. Fortunately, I could withstand the attack, being a level 1 player with some rather peculiar attributes.

The other rabbit guard quickly came to its comrade's aid, but the Bossa remained indifferent to our struggle, believing its guards to be powerful enough to handle the situation without its intervention.

Without the help of DooDoo Rabbit, I naturally had no fear. It took me just over 200 health to defeat the two rabbit guards, pick up the dropped equipment, drink a health potion, and wait for my life to recover before killing DooDoo Rabbit.

DooDoo Rabbit was only the girlfriend of the Golden Rabbit King and not very formidable. My attack damage was stable at 100, while DooDoo Rabbit's attack was only 40, except for her "Carrot Attack" skill, in which a large carrot suddenly appeared in the sky and smashed towards me, dealing 100 damage.

Fortunately, DooDoo Rabbit was graceful and always maintained her composure, so her attack frequency was not high. When she hit me three times, I had already hit her six times like a fanatic who had just seen a rare piece of equipment.

My health dropped to 200, but I drank a health potion and continued to attack. Although it was my first time playing "King of Glory," I was an old hand at online games and my skills were absolutely not careless.

"Lucky Strike!" Luck was on my side as DooDoo Rabbit stunned me, and stars appeared above my head as I stood still. I wasn't polite and hit her with -200 and -200 damage. Ha ha, critical hit! DooDoo Rabbit's health plummeted, and I continued to hit her twice. DooDoo Rabbit died on the ground, dropping two items.

"Ding dong, congratulations to Stone City for reaching level 6, with an increase of 10 health and 10 magic and 5 attribute points to distribute."

"Congratulations to Stone City for killing the BOSS DooDoo Rabbit and gaining 10 reputation."

"Player Stone City is the first to kill the BOSS DooDoo Rabbit in 'King of Glory,' with a reward of 100 reputation and 10 gold coins."

Not bad. The early bird catches the worm, and the experience of the farmer is never wrong. I picked up the items dropped by DooDoo Rabbit.

The two rabbit guards dropped 4 pieces of equipment and 1 gold coin. Besides 2 level 5 equipment, there were unexpectedly two rings, and they were blue equipment.

The Great Rabbit Fang Ring: Blue equipment, requiring level 5, agility 5, additional defense 5. Not bad, I'll wear it.

DooDoo Rabbit was too stingy. Besides 2 gold coins, there were only 2 pieces of equipment, but when I saw this equipment, my face lit up with a smile. It was a red Ghost Artifact.

DooDoo Rabbit's Face Mask: Red Ghost Artifact, effect unknown, unable to be applied.

The items are divided into white equipment, blue equipment, yellow equipment, green sets, red Ghost Artifacts, and purple Divine Artifacts.

The white equipment serves as the most basic form of gear, possessing only rudimentary attributes. Blue equipment, on the other hand, stands one level above the former and boasts three to four additional attributes. Furthermore, the yellow-gold equipment is of a higher caliber than blue equipment, as it not only has between three to eight supplemental attributes but also boasts extraordinary fundamental properties.

Needless to say, green sets, red devilry, and purple divine artifacts outshine their yellow counterparts by a significant margin, making them excellent acquisitions. However, they are considerably harder to obtain, and the majority of players would be satisfied with acquiring yellow-gold equipment.

Weapons of a grade beyond yellow-gold possess distinct colors that reflect their higher grade and unique characteristics, although players have the option to conceal this aspect of their gear.

Equipment of a grade beyond yellow-gold must undergo assessment before exhibiting attributes; otherwise, it cannot be employed.

I scrutinized the mask of DooDoo Bunny, turning it over repeatedly in my hand. Judging by its quality, it was a coveted item, and I was tempted to head back to the village for an appraisal. However, I could not afford to waste any time, given that the task assigned by the pharmacist was still pending.

Turning my attention to another object, I discovered a hidden treasure map.

Route of the bunny: Treasure map, effect unknown, cannot be applied.

Ha-ha! A treasure map! I love it. There must be something valuable to discover. Apparently, it will require an appraisal before it can be used.

After organizing my belongings, I continued forward, coming across a pack of mountain wolves roaming through the grassy plains.

"Insight." Enchanted Mountain Wolf: Level 8, 300 HP, defends against Hemostatic Pills.

To my surprise, the pharmacist's task was structured similarly to that of the blacksmith's, with only the monsters changing. It was quite dizzying.

Enchanted Mountain Wolf, I have found you. You dare steal the pharmacist's beloved golden medicine cauldron. You shall pay!

Killing DooDoo Bunny elevated me to the next level, and I equipped two large rabbit-tooth rings, bolstering my abilities. Thus, as a level five player, facing an enchanted level eight mountain wolf posed no significant challenge.
