Chapter 2 - chapter 2: raising a magical prince

No one said raising a child would be easy and the prince proved that right to his parents. He kept on running down the halls screaming and never gave anyone a peaceful night in that palace. But they later got used to it. As the prince grew up, his parents noticed something, there son wasn't a normal child. He was born with magic that was triggered with his emotions. whenever he was angry, his hair could turn red and he could breath fire out of his mouth, whenever he was sad, his hair would turn blue and a storm would appear. Having gone through the ups and downs they were able to raise a kind, humble respectful prince.

In his teenage life, his magic turned his life into hell. Every strong emotion he showcased would trigger his magic. In the process of trying to control it,some noticed it. Everyone in the kingdom might be kind and generous but for some it acted as a cover to hide there mischievous deeds. Rox, a young man who has always been a victim of poverty, has always wanted to rule Crest. To him it has always been an impossible dream but his light of hope lit up the minute he found out about the prince's magic

Rumors in Crest spread like bush fire. Everyone in the Kingdom got to know about it.Even other kingdoms heard about it including Crest's enemies. Many tried kidnapping the prince but didn't succeed. This worried the king and queen so much that they made the palace security really tight. No one was allowed to enter the palace unauthorized and most importantly the prince wasn't allowed to leave the palace no matter what. The tight security didn't stop Rox from pursuing his plans. He could wear all sorts of disguises and enter the palace using secret doors and paths. He had brilliant plans but before he could succeed, someone could appear.

Later on, he was caught and thrown out of the palace after being whipped a couple of times. The king and Queen feared that one day, someone could succeed in there devious plans. They had to find a way of making people believe that the magic was all a lie. The only way was to numb the magic. The thought of loosing their own child broke their hearts so they decided to numb the magic.
