Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Burden of Power

The vast, shifting expanse of smoke and rubble from the previous battle still hung heavily in the air as Erwin stood tall, his colossal form towering over the remaining Survey Corps members.

The earth beneath him trembled with each step, his immense body casting a long shadow over the soldiers who looked up in awe and uncertainty.

He could feel the weight of the power coursing through him, the endless heat radiating from his Titan form.

His body was no longer just human; it was something far greater—and far more dangerous.

The Colossal Titan was an overwhelming force, capable of laying waste to entire armies with a single burst of steam.

Erwin had always been the one to make the tough decisions, but now he was faced with a choice more harrowing than any before: wield this unimaginable power without losing himself in it, or risk becoming the very thing he had fought against all his life.

The air shimmered with heat as he stood motionless, staring down at the destruction he had wrought. His mind raced, memories of his past self flickering like distant echoes.

His purpose had always been clear—to lead humanity to victory, to see them free from the terror of the Titans.

But now, with the power of the Colossal Titan surging through him, that purpose seemed harder to grasp.

His connection to his former self, his humanity, felt tenuous, slipping through his fingers like sand.

Mikasa's voice broke the silence, sharp with disbelief. "Erwin, are you alright?" She had moved forward, her eyes full of concern, but she kept her distance. This Erwin was not the same man they had followed into battle countless times. This was something else entirely.

Erwin's massive head turned slowly toward her. His glowing eyes met hers, and for a moment, it felt as if the weight of his transformation was visible in that single gaze.

He opened his mouth to speak, but all that escaped was a low, guttural growl. His throat was no longer his own.

The Titan's influence was already beginning to take hold of him.

"I… I'm fine," Erwin muttered, his voice distorted by the Titan's power.

He clenched his fists, trying to steady himself, but the raw strength within him made it difficult to focus. "This is… this is just the beginning. I can still control it."

Levi, who had been standing nearby, watching intently, crossed his arms. His face was as stoic as ever, but there was something unreadable in his eyes.

"Control it?" He muttered, his voice low but sharp. "Erwin, you're not just leading us now. You're one of them. A Titan. You need to be careful. You don't know what kind of power you're dealing with."

Erwin's Titan form shifted slightly, the muscles beneath his skin rippling with barely-contained energy.

He felt the heat rising again, an overwhelming pressure to unleash it all, to let loose and burn everything in sight. His Titan body itched for destruction. He had fought alongside Levi, Mikasa, and the others, leading them through the worst of the battles.

Now, the power to end it all was at his fingertips. But could he control it?

Mikasa's voice came again, more urgent this time. "Erwin, you're scaring me. You're not just a soldier anymore. If you lose yourself to the Titan… what happens to all of us?"

Erwin swallowed hard, trying to push down the primal urges of the Titan within him.

The Colossal Titan's power was intoxicating, like a drug he hadn't asked for. But it was his responsibility now, and he wouldn't let it consume him—not after everything they had fought for.

"We fight," Erwin said, his voice steady, though the strain was evident. "We fight for humanity's future. That's the only thing that matters."

He could feel his breath growing heavier as the Titan's body began to take its toll.

The heat radiating from him made the ground around him crack, sending fissures through the earth as his body trembled with the unrelenting energy within.

"We need to move," Erwin added. "The Titans are coming. We can't waste any more time."

Levi nodded in agreement. "We'll follow you, but don't make us regret it." He cast a glance at Mikasa, who still looked uneasy, but she too nodded, knowing the stakes had never been higher.

Erwin looked at the horizon, his eyes narrowing as the distant figures of the Titans grew clearer.

The forces of Marley were coming, and the walls were all but lost.

The Colossal Titan's power was their greatest weapon, but it could also be their downfall. The question of control loomed over Erwin's mind, but he knew one thing for certain—he couldn't afford to hesitate now. Not when humanity's survival was on the line.

With a heavy breath, Erwin's massive feet moved forward, each step sending shockwaves through the ground. The heat from his body made the air ripple around him, but he pressed on. The landscape around him was barren and scarred from their previous battles, the remnants of shattered walls and crumbling buildings scattered across the land.

This was their world now. A world shaped by Titans, a world that they had to reclaim.

Mikasa, Levi, and the others followed close behind, their formation tight. Erwin's transformation had shifted the balance of their team dynamic. They had always followed him, trusted him to lead them to victory. But now, he was something else entirely.

A Titan. A monster.

As Erwin advanced, he could feel the transformation weighing down on him. Every step, every breath, felt like a battle between who he was and what he had become.

He had to hold onto his humanity—he couldn't lose it. Not now. Not when everything depended on him.

The first Titan appeared on the horizon, its massive form lurching toward them. Erwin's eyes narrowed, the familiar, deadly focus returning to his mind. His instincts kicked in, and before anyone could react, his massive hands shot forward, grabbing the Titan by the neck and lifting it off the ground. He could feel the heat in his body build, the pressure threatening to explode.

The Titan's screams were deafening as Erwin squeezed, and with a single motion, he crushed its throat, sending its body to the ground.

Steam erupted from his body in a violent explosion, the force of it knocking nearby Titans off their feet. The air around Erwin shimmered with the intensity of the heat, but he didn't flinch. The battle had begun.

"Move!" Erwin roared, his voice echoing across the battlefield. The Survey Corps surged forward, joining the fight against the oncoming Titans. But Erwin could feel the weight of his new power pushing him forward, making it harder to resist the urge to destroy everything in his path.

He had to keep control. He had to remember why he was fighting.

As the battle raged on, Erwin's Titan form became an unstoppable force, his strength and heat wreaking havoc on the Titans that crossed his path. But with each strike, he could feel the Titan's influence pushing him further away from the man he once was. It was a constant struggle to keep the beast inside him in check.

But there was no turning back now.
