It was just like any other day. The sky was blue and clear. It was humid and hot. Just like most days in this world.
Primordial the capital of the Origin Republic was busy as usual.
The streets were packed from people going through their day to day.
However, there were murmurs in the crowd of people of their savior and protector being very sick.
Alarm was going on everywhere about what would happen if the demon of Primordial.
However, while the city was panicking about the possibility of their savior dying.
There was a small group of people standing around a bed with an old man laying on it.
It looked like all the people were looking at the old man with different states of emotion on their faces. Emotions from sadness or grief to the unease of the future. While the old man laid there with a big grin on his face.
The room was silent. No one had the courage to say anything, until the old man opened his mouth and said with a somewhat quit voice.
"I called all you in here today to tell you this old geezer is about to kick the bucket."
This statement was meet with pained expressions and some tears, but no one wanted to interrupt the old man.
"You are here cause you guys are the ones I trust most." the old man continued. "All of you, from my family and the ones who will protect this beautiful city even after I am gone. "
"I want to thank you guys for everything. I am so lucky to see how far we've come. When I was a young and extremely handsome man. This city was a cesspool of evil and now look at it. It's glorious."
"Thank you for everything."
After finishing what he said, a young beautiful girl in her late teens said with tears in her eyes.
"It wasn't us!!! You were the one who made this city so beautiful!!! That is why you can't die!!! You have to live and keep it safe!!!"
The old man chuckled softly, " My foolish young granddaughter. I have lived a long life full of death of those I beat but there is one thing I can't beat and that is time. "
The old man continued, " As for keeping the town safe. Look at all the gunslingers who with protect it and if I'm not mistaken, I believe that you are about to become one yourself. The city will be safe."
Then a middle-aged man the yelled, "Old Man you are the Sybol of hope and peace for Primordial!!!!! With out you, crime will flow again!!!!"
The Old man then stated, " I may be your father, but I can't hold your hand forever. You have become a strong man that people can rely on. Get out of my shadow and pave your own way." He continued, " That being said, I now promote you to chief of gunslingers to take my place. Keep that stupid king from destroying everything. HaHaHa."
The middle-aged man wasn't surprised but said, " That is a huge shadow to follow up." with a chuckle.
"True but if anyone can do it would be you." The old man said with a smile.
After a little bit more talk about the future with the rest of the room. The old man finally stopped suddenly and looked out the window. After looking for a minute he turned back and said outload.
"It's time."
An eerie silence filled the room but was quickly interrupted by the old man.
"Oh, don't be sad. This is a cause for a celebration! Spare no expense and make it the best feast of the city."
The room was still silent, but the middle-aged man said with a face of grief finally, " It will magnificent."
The old man with the biggest smile on his face looked around the room and said for one of the first times in his long life.
"I love you all."
Everyone looked at the old man with shock because the old man was known for hiding his emotions be hide humor.
However, when they were going to say something. They saw that the old man was already gone.
This was a day that went down in history as the first and last time that the Demon of Primordial lost a battle and his opponent was time. The strongest of all beings.
That was the day that Arthur Clive died.
............
The last thing that Arthur remembered what happened was him saying goodbye to all his loved ones and then nothing. Just darkness. However, that is not what it could be called. It was a void. nothing was there. Just stillness.
Time was not relevant there and after whoever now how long. There was giant hand.
At first it was small as if it was millions of miles away, but it made its way toward Arthur.
It got closer and closer, until it was 50 feet away from him and it was massive.
I was at least 500 feet tall (152.4 meters) and 300 feet wide (91.44 meters).
It then closed around Arthur and pulled him away to who knows where.
However, after a while he heard something say.
{Congratulations for being the strongest!!!}
