A few minutes before.
On the second floor of the tower, two doors opened almost at the same time.
The white, blue-tinged Tin Gate parted slowly, revealing a well-lit passageway from which Harpax Celaeno emerged.
On the other side of the room, the reddish-brown Copper Gate let out Alwina Liuva and Icilia Fredisius, whose route appeared to have been dark and cavernous.
"That's what she calls an easy route? There's no way that wench Sidonia didn't do it on purpose."
Alwina sighed at her companion's endless complaints, though she empathized. "It sure was damp, but my skin was ruined from that dreadful forest anyway."
"Just when I thought I had finally gotten rid of you," Harpax sneered. "What are you doing here, Icilia?"
Icilia busily adjusted her curls, unbothered by the boy's remark. "What does it look like, idiot? We've followed the available route and arrived here."
