It was just about the last week of our short union with the giant. Whatever delusion had him playing detective was dumb because we were well aware that he was watching us. It had been like this the whole time, we just snuck out and he spied on us constantly. He never asked and we never said, it was healthy in its own way. Until finally, he decided we were ready, ambitious and strong enough. The giant began, "I've been slowly increasing the gravitational force, right now it's five times as strong." I'm sure he noticed our lack of appreciation and quickly changed the topic.
He continued, "You have been tried by fire, now your will must be put to the test in the face of fear, calamity and overwhelming power. This next road each of you will travel alone so the truth within you can be drawn out and when the time is right you will be enlightened. I pray for your success young ones. Should anything go wrong play this flute and you will be ejected from the test. "

We were split up as the landscape morphed and five paths leading to the newly sprung mountains appeared before us. For some reason each knew their own path and we took off. A new fear welled up in my stomach as I saw my friends disappear each one by one. Onit was the last to vanish and not before he frenched me affectionately. I felt some sort of comfort after my boyfriend told me he believed in me and at last I was alone. The weather suddenly turned and dark clouds shortly masked the sun completely dominating the sky. This, perhaps, was the indicator that my so-called brief stay in hell had officially begun.

After I kissed Rekab, I decided to hurry along, the last thing I wanted was to slow the group down with special consideration to how I had already sort of betrayed Genesis. I wasn't as evil as a children's fairy tale would depict me, it's not like this was some master plan it just kind of happened. You see, when Gene was asleep Rekab was restless and blamed herself for his injuries, she was very well aware that had it not been for her Gene would have turned tails and run. He stayed, instead, and bravely faced an opponent that far outmatched him. In the spirit of bro-hood I became Rekab's pillar for comfort and then the chemistry just happened. When Gene woke up we decided to lie and not tell him that he had been asleep for almost two weeks to keep Rekab from harbouring much guilt. After all, all is fair in love and war right.
I had to conquer this mountain for myself, for the team and for Rekab. As I proceeded faster I began to realize that the mountains weren't getting closer, I even ran but all the same they remained out of reach. So it seemed my test had already begun

I wasn't cool with keeping a secret from my bestfriend. Onit's union with Rekab was super cheesy and unbro-fessional. For now I had myself to worry about, I wasn't very good at tests yeah. Since I grew up I chose to do stuff coz it was fun not other weird lame reasons like parents. I was here coz I wanted to be. Ban don't fear no evil. I gew up in the hood... and other weird gangster stuff.
I was just in my element, in the zone and ain't nobody was gonna disrespect me so I had to make sure I'd finish first before all the rest. I also knew that beauty is fleeting and charm is deceitful it all just said love is dumb and promises an unhappy ending.
My trail vanished and when I looked back, the tall grass had completely covered the path behind me. I spotted a nearby cave and decided to make it my own.

I didn't have the time or luxury to figure out what was going with the rest of my team. All I knew was that if only one us would return home alive it was going to be me. I had too much to lose and the risks were already high enough. I guess the Onit scandal had some much needed flair but save for that I was skeptical on the ethics. I had almost passed a tree by when I noticed a small piece of paper pinned to the trunk, it had no more than the single letter O in capital letters and it was definitely written using a calligraphy pen. I decided to hold on to it and I hadn't even made ten footsteps before I spotted another note on a farther tree to my left side. So, my test had already begun.

My friend's were suffering on my behalf, the least I could do was win and make their burdens easier. Onit's affair had me on edge lol I'm kidding I was completely clueless and thankfully so. Had it been otherwise I may never have reached where I am today narrating this story.
My path was misty but I managed to spot the figure of a man and a very young boy fighting, they were surrounded by people so I assumed it was some form of training. "Faster, prince Giarc, " the man roared. This was my test it seemed, best if I be done with it quickly.
