I'm in the middle of the 6th floor, when I hear a scream.
I look around, and see a young woman being chased by another tiger.
I rush to her aid, and she screams again her eyes turning red and her teeth turning into long fangs, She rushes towards me, and I dodge, and smash my palm into the ground, creating a crack.
She roars and stops, and I smile at her.
"Well that was unexpected. Doppelgangers aren't what I thought were even possible. How did you learn to fight like that?"
"I don't know." It says,
"You don't know? Are you not a cultivator?" I mock the fake cultivator.
"I'm a monster hunter, but I've never been a cultivator before." it says, not making sense but mimicking speech just fine.
"Ah, well, you're going to have to learn to cultivate if you want to survive." I say, completely unimpressed by this thing's act.
"How can I do that? I don't know anything about cultivation." it says, still full of nonsense.
"I'll teach you, I'll teach you everything you need to know. First, you need to decapitate yourself." I continue to mock the thing masquerading as a cultivator.
It screeches, immediately stopping the false speech, I think it realized I figured out it was a fake. I guess it's not as stupid as I thought. It rushes towards me, fangs extended to bite me. I quickly dodge, and sever its head, green blood splattering everywhere for a moment before it turns into light and its energy entering my body to refine it further.
I see the tiger that was chasing the lady doppelganger growling at me in fear, I notice it has a cultivation slightly lower than mine. I smirk, and I shove my arm through it's chest, grabbing the tiger's spirit core, and it dissolves into light and is absorbed into me.
I look around, and I see that the coast is clear, I move forwards and catch up to another young woman who looks like a normal human girl again. She's not the same girl I saved from the tiger, but for some reason she says,
"Thanks you saved me from the tiger." she continues speaking after that, although she doesn't seem like she's talking to me anymore.
"What are you saying?" I ask her.
"Thank you, thank you." she continues to speak, "You're very kind."
I frown, talking to these mindless creatures is a really odd experience, but it's getting old.
"Can you talk normally, please?" I ask her.
"Yes, yes, sorry," she says, "You came to save us? Thank you!"
I stare, and just decide to pretend to drop my guard, waiting for it to attack me again.
But instead it mocks me, "You didn't think I'd let you die easily did you? You are quite the fool." It laughs.
I sigh, "Let's get on with it." It charges forward, fangs growing from where normal teeth were moments before. I shrug, and Shove my chi clad palm through it's stomach as it shudders and immediately dies. I drop it off my arm, and then start moving forwards again.
The energy from the dead creature pretending to be a human cultivator, enters my body again, barely increasing my cultivation. I decide to leave the floor.

After a while, I at the stairs, one leading up the other leading down. I go for the ones leading down and Immediately find myself in the ground floor of the structure. I see the elder and he nods at me, I leave, and the elder mutters, "Good seed, He made it to the next cultivation level so quickly." He nods, and I exit. I look up, and see the sun has barely moved, even though I spent a few hours in the hedge maze and the cave with the doppelgangers, I pull aside another Disciple to ask him about this strangeness.
"Hey, I just exited the tower, why has no time seemed to pass?"
He nods and says, "Time passes in the tower 95 times as fast as outside the tower. Truly an amazing artifact."
My eyes widen, I definitely need to use the tower of challenge more often.
I grin and decide to visit the library for a body cultivation method.

I walk towards the library, and enter the door. A young girl scowls at me, and glares at me, and exits, I wonder what that was about, and follow the path leading to the libraries back room.
Inside, there are tables and bookshelves filled with scrolls and books. A bald man sits behind a desk. I go up to him.
"I'd like to enter the back room for a cultivation technique." I say, bowing politely.
The elder nods and follows me in. He waves his arm around and says, "Check these jade slips for the one you want," he offers 3 jade slips with the information on spirit, soul, and body cultivation. I lift up the body cultivation jade slip and start perusing through it.
the list is broken into sections based on price.
low green to high blue being 10 to 25 sect points, I go all the way up to low profound and see the price move upwards to 200 when i get profound, I finally make it to the gold grade the price doubled again, I immediately buy the best gold grade body cultivation technique for 500 sect points.
I notice my sect points have increased to 1395 after going through the tower and killing so many beasts, making my sect points go down to 895, I guess I should buy a soul technique as well, but I hold off on it after seeing the massive prices of the weakest of them with my piddly 895 points, I could only afford a mid blue one at the maximum.
I settle for just having the gold grade body cultivation method, I grin, and leave quickly.
I decide to examine my new cultivation technique when I reach my room.
