Chapter 6 - Chapter Three Yemi

Yemi woke up from his sleep frantic, Today marks a year since he created his company with his two best friends, Yomi and Kunle and it has been going well.

He knew this would favour them when he told them his thoughts on starting a company where they could excavate remains and obtain relics themselves and within a year they opened Their own gallery "Home of Mystery" but he could feel something was missing.

He has always believed the past is what made the present and through these extractions, he can find the answers to many existences and write it in his book. He loves writing and he has currently become famous for it, knowledge brings lots of money, he thought. But recently, he has been thinking about someone. At first, he thought his mind was conjuring things as it's been a while since he had the feel of a woman but that hasn't worked either.

He stood up leaving Melissa, the lady he met the night before sprawled on his bed, he knew she must be exhausted, after all, they were at it till past midnight and another thing was that he felt a pang of guilt for her and wonders how he could be seeing the face of another he hasn't met on the face of the one he has and was about to enjoy.

He made himself a coffee selected cookies from the jar and carried it to his workstation, he needed to get the lady out of his head and if she existed he would find her and know why she had been plaguing his dreams.

Anike stood at the foot of the mountain with her friends in awe, this is awesomely beautiful she Chimed, Ayooni please take a picture of me, I would need it to make an uproar on my IG page she chirped happily.

they could see the water falling from the mouth of the mountain, drawn and fascinated by the way it illuminated different colours, birds chirping happily around it, and flowers so bright shown at the edge of the mountain in such a way that they wondered if the flowers were the cause of the colour illumination or the water is as magical as they say.

I wish we could reach the edge of the mountain and see what's really happening there, Asani stated. I thought they said no one ever goes there, because it's dangerous, said Ayooni. Oh please, spare me, since when did the ever curious you think someplace is dangerous given the fact that you might even get to do one of your observing things on it, I bet you want to know what those birds are and how they seem to make a home in that water instead of above it, Anike puts in.

since I know my two crazy best friends seem to have forgotten we are far from home and the history around this place is terrifying as I am sure you heard of it in Professor Clark's class. That man is downright crazy if you ask me, I mean who believes the shit of having two different worlds in a village, that is not possible and a human is a portal to it, Asani laughed as she replied to her.

well, it goes without saying, history is not there for the show you know, but this mountain is too beautiful to not explore. Her friends continue with their banter and plans on how to find a way to get back to the mountain and see what causes the change in colour of the water and why it feels like a fairy tale kind of thing.

Ayooni saw him again, his eyes frantic as he focused on the board in front of him, what is he doing she asked herself. He was in too deep on the canvas, he remembered vividly what her eyes looked like, those deep blue eyes that looked more like black, her black long hair, thin lips, pointed nose and those perfectly curved eyebrows.

He had never met one so beautiful his chest vibrated, when he felt the breath on his shoulder he looked up and saw her there, staring at what he was painting like he was.

why are you making a painting of me, she said to him, and he thought now my imagination talks, but nonetheless, he was happy he could see her in his home and as if in realisation he looked at her again startled, how did you get... but she was gone again.

Ayooni opened her eyes to see her friends' worried faces, you look beat, Anike said, what happened back there it was like you were in a trance.

Asani handed a bottle of water to her, I don't know, how long was I gone for.

thirty minutes Asani put in, you were talking to someone about why he was painting you but we see no one here.

Ayooni wondered what had happened and why the man kept coming to her this way, was she imagining things or she is seeing things, he felt real enough when he touched her. I need to tell you both something, she finally said to her friends and it is extremely important so we have to lodge in a secured area rather than sleep on the train this night.
