A week after the incident.
"And now I call on Mira to come to the rostrum to give her tribute to our blossom Ayra Sharma,Mira if you may?" Linda called Mira out.
"Thank you, Linda." Mira appreciated Linda as she got off the rostrum.
"We are gathered here today to honor one of our own, our blossom of the agency, we all knew who she was we were auspicious enough to know and to have worked with Ayra Sharma. She was my best friend, the closest thing I had to a sister." sniffs....'Mira exhaled as she wiped a tear from her face while addressing the crowd of angels at the memorial.
"I promised myself that I would not cry but I can't help it. She is gone for real. I keep asking myself how I am going to cope. Ayra was my alarm clock in angel form. It could be precisely 5 am and I would see Ayra Sharma probing about which dress she would like to wear for the day."
"No, this isn't the one. It's not ch….. what's that word again? Yes chic. The vibe of this dress is quite dingy and I don't want my day to be weird. A dress is a way of romanticizing your life.
"Those were always her words, there is still a loop in my heart that cannot be filled by anyone, Ayra was always thrumming with so much energy where ever she went, she brought light," Mira remarked as tears began to cloud her eyelids.
"Thank you all for honoring Ayra Sharma I am sure she would be so happy where she is to know that we all cared about her." Mira rounded up before she got off the podium and then headed out of the hall.
"Hi, Mira. Jacob Tinmei, do you remember?" Jacob Tinmei heralded.
"Oh, yes I do," she replied with a dim smile. She already had dark eye circles it was obvious that she had been crying a lot.
"That was a very nice tribute. I am so sorry about what happened to your friend. Hoops I meant Ayra." Jacob corrected himself. He remembered that she had warned him not to address Ayra as a friend.
Mira let out a guffaw. "I see you haven't changed."
"I mean it's only been a week since we met and last I recall change doesn't happen that quickly. Am I right?" Jacob teased while he and Mira headed out of the hall.
"Where are you headed to?" Jacob inquired.
"I don't know for now I just want to catch some air and look at some greens, try my best not to cry or think of Ayra," Mira replied while looking straight into his green-colored eyes.
"How, about I keep you company?" Jacob proposed while running his hands through his brown hair. "My conscience would kill me if left someone I know in their time of need. Plus I won't be able to sleep well tonight if I don't make a smile appear on your face."
They busted into laughter.
"See, there is the smile I have been after. The one you had when we first met."
Why is he being this nice to me? Mira thought to herself. For someone whom I just met once, I already find myself this comfortable around him. This is all Ayra's fault if only she was here. She'd probably have teased me and we would have ended the topic with a very loud laugh.
"Thank you," Mira said lightly stopping herself before she zones off again.
"Thank you, for what?" Jacob asked feeling utterly surprised.
"I haven't smiled like this since Ayra." Mira pointed out
"You saying thank you is making me feel weird..... I'm beginning to feel embarrassed. Moreover, I don't want to be put in the friend zone" Jacob pointed out.
"Perhaps is it a crime to feel weird?" asked Mira.
"No, it isn't, and don't put words in my mouth. It's not cool" Jacob teased as he tried his best to hold back his laughter.
"No need to worry, you are safe." Mira paused. "For now, at least" she assured.
They let out a loud laugh again. As it may have seemed earlier on he was lifting her mood in a very good way.
What is it with this guy? He seems too good to be true. What does he want? If Ayra were here she'd probably tell me not to overthink it, so I don't ruin what I may have going on here and she wouldn't want me thinking too much about what happened to her. Mira thought to herself.
"What is it?" asked Jacob as soon as he noticed she had started to zone off.
"Nothing just a random thought about Ayra," Mira replied.
"Listen," he paused. "I know it's going to hurt real bad however always remember that she is in a better place," Jacob assured Mira. "And besides I heard that angels aren't meant to overthink things like this." Jacob consoled her
Mira smiled. "To tell you the truth, I think I already know where I am headed. Come along." Mira muttered as she drags Jacob behind hers into the cool streets of Cyprus.
"We have quite a blick weather today. It's not far we are about to arrive no need to get all grumpy."
Mira teased.
"Who said I was acting grumpy?" Jacob questioned jokingly.
Jacob didn't mind being pulled down the road by Mira because he had developed some feelings for her and he quite wasn't ready to put a tag on it. He felt like his heart was where it was meant to be at least for the moment.
"We are here." Mira alerted as she stopped.
"Where?" Jacob asked because the description she had given earlier didn't match where they were. They were in a completely abandoned junkyard.
"Vine la pluja el sol, revela la teva forma de veritat donam acces a aquest terreny digne." She suddenly chanted into the air and immediately its effect was felt
