Chapter 257 - Begin to Work

"What do you guys think if..." Homura held his chin with one hand. "I hang a curtain at Nayu's place?"

Hearing this, everyone turned their attention to that spot.

"Like a fitting room?" Izumi asked.

Strangely enough, it was quite similar to her description. Although it should be a bit larger than a fitting room. After all, it wasn't small to begin with, so it wouldn't be cramped.

With that said, everyone, including Nayuta, smiled.

Without delay, Homura took action!

After handing Haru over to Megumi, he went to the storage room and grabbed a curtain rod, two connectors, and a set of curtains.

Back in the activity room, the girls looked at the equipment he had brought, completely puzzled.

"You brought such a long curtain rod? And just one?"

"A rod that's four and a half meters long..." Homura muttered to himself.

After saying that, he started bending the rod into an arc!

Witnessing this, the girls were left in awe! What kind of sorcery was this?!

With Homura's precision, he easily bent it into a perfect quarter-circle arc.

Stepping up onto a work desk, he made a few marks on the wall, attached the connectors, slotted the curved rod into them, and then stepped back to examine his work.

"Hmm... Not bad!" Homura nodded in satisfaction.

He then quickly took it down, hung the curtains on it, and put it back in place.

"Done!" Homura declared while clapping his hands.

Watching him finish in a matter of moments, the girls finally snapped out of their daze.

"You work at lightning speed, huh?" Elf remarked while raising an eyebrow.

"It's not that big of a deal." Homura shrugged his shoulders and turned to Nayuta. "Nayu, see how it feels for yourself."

"Sure!" Nayuta eagerly stepped into the newly curtained area, examined it closely, and pulled the curtains on both sides.

After a while, her voice came from inside.

"Senpai, it's a bit dark in here!"

"Isn't there a light on the desk?"

"Where is it? Oh... it's here." Nayuta fiddled around, and those outside gradually noticed a faint glow.

"No worries, Senpai!" Nayuta emerged. "Now I can be with everyone!"

In truth, she was contemplating whether to occasionally stage a surprise attack on Homura. However, she worried that it might irritate everyone. As she thought about it, her expression became conflicted.

Seeing this, Homura raised an eyebrow.

"What's up? Is there something else you're not satisfied with?"

"Eh? No!" Nayuta shook her head. She would think it over slowly since if she was discovered, it wouldn't be good.

Homura wasn't sure if what she said was the truth or not, but since she said there wasn't, he let it go.

"Alright, let's get to work." Homura turned to Nanami. "Nanami, you need to practice toning down your Kansai dialect."

Hearing that, Nanami nodded.

She had actually been practicing all along. Not every role required a Kansai dialect, and even if it did, it might not necessarily be a female character. So, her practice had never stopped.

"In that case, I'll go practice outside, don't want to disturb you all." Nanami said while smiling at everyone.

"Good luck!"

Homura had high expectations for her. It would be great if she could reach the level of a 'monster', playing multiple roles with distinctly different voices.

That was what everyone called a legendary voice actor—someone who could voice male, female, mature, and childlike characters. He was already capable of this, thanks to his Level 9 Voice Acting Skill.

Everyone soon began to work, but it was actually only Elf, Muramasa, Eriri, and Homura.

Muramasa was always ready to start anytime, and Elf was always full of energy. As for Eriri, she was temporarily drawing some ordinary and unimportant characters based on his plan for the world background while he was doing the same.

Utaha was still pondering how to develop and describe emotional scenes in this world context. Mashiro, Sagiri, and Izumi had no experience like Eriri, so they were currently at a loss. They watched the progress of the script without disturbing others, hoping for some inspiration regarding character development.

Megumi had nothing to do, so she stayed by Homura's side, watching his every move.

Lastly, Nayuta was alone behind the curtains, and no one knew what she was up to.

For a while, the room was filled only with the sound of keyboards clacking and pens scribbling.

===

One hour later.

Elf stretched lazily.

It was her first time collaborating with everyone from Another Dimension. She was usually the playful type, so, her immediate focus and serious demeanor made Homura quite impressed!

However, she couldn't sit still for long. Elf peeked over at Muramasa, who was writing with a serious expression, and glanced at her face.

"Hey, Hana..."

"I'm writing an interesting part right now. If you disturb me, I'll slaughter you as quickly as possible!" Muramasa's voice was cold.

Elf quickly stepped back and then whispered to Homura.

"Homura, Hana's definitely a ninja, right?! The killing intent just now didn't seem fake at all!"

Homura rolled his eyes.

"Didn't you know that when she gets into her zone, she doesn't care about anything else? Why bother disturbing her?"

"Discussing the script, maybe?"

"Isn't it a bit too early for that? By the way, which part are you writing?"

"The battle inside the barren desert filled with swords..."

Hearing that, Homura was surprised.

"You're starting with such an important part?"

"Heavyweights should be done when you're at your peak!" Elf said confidently, then began asking. "By the way, what's your take on it? Turning King Arthur into a female, aren't you worried England will come after us?"

"If they can't even prove whether King Arthur existed, who's to say whether King Arthur was male or female?" Homura shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.

"..."

That made sense!

"In that case, we can say King Arthur marrying Guinevere was all part of the act..." Elf nodded thoughtfully. "Thinking about it like that, it does sound more interesting! I think we can create a really fun story!"

Her enthusiasm soared once more.

"Then get back to writing while you're still fired up."

"Alright!" Elf nodded and returned to her work desk.

*Buzz!*

Homura's phone vibrated and he quickly left the room.

"Hey, Dad, what's wrong?"

"What? Can't I contact my son if there's nothing wrong?" Kosuke's tone was a bit annoyed.

Homura chuckled.

"So, you're not busy? Alright, let's have a good chat today."

"Well, I don't really have time to chat with you actually..." Kosuke's tone changed. "I did have something to ask you though."

'See, it will be like this after all...' Homura rolled his eyes. "Go ahead."

"That manga of yours called 'Love Live!', did you know there's a tournament with the same name about to start?"

"Yeah, I know. What's up? Did I infringe on copyright or something?"

"If it weren't for me, you'd probably be in some trouble, you know." Kosuke chuckled.

'Heh... So there was actually something like that?' Homura pondered thoughtfully.
