After Grace had left the room, Elaine was alone with Stephanie. She quickly stood up and walked over to her, gently putting her hands on her shoulders and guiding her body toward herself. Now with Stephanie in her arms, Elaine started to gently caress her hair and kept repeating,
"Shh. It will be okay; we will find a way through this."
