"Arthur?" Confusion suddenly appeared on her face as she saw the dark-haired boy stand up. He had changed a lot from the time they met. For example, he had stopped cutting his hair and it had grown long enough for him to tie it back and still have some of it hanging as bangs.
His skin was whitely pale, like a walking corpse. Though the reason behind that was self-explanatory—he almost died. He had grown a frightening demeanor that she could only describe as that because of how overwhelming it felt.
His eyes were cold, yet a warmness dazzled in them as he smiled at her like he was glad she was alive. Although covered in his own blood, he still looked human for the most part. No horns or pair of black wings were shooting out of his back like tree branches.
He was still human. And she was glad to see this part of him.
