As they traveled through the shadow-like portal, Arthur was welled up by another fragment of memories he never had. In this memory, he saw himself face to face with a behemoth of a blue-scaled snake. And from the looks of it, his body had been pushed to the absolute limit with open cuts across his body, all bleeding excessive amounts of blood.
Venom was burning through his, and the pain was enough to bring a grown man to his knees. And yet, he stood straight while clutching tightly onto the blunt silver sword in his hands.
He was ten years old at the time, and he recalled putting his life on the line while facing that thing. He was lucky enough to defeat that thing just in time before the poison could kill him.
This body was already used to combat. That alone, he could tell. It wasn't as powerful as his old body, but if Arthur survived a fight like that, then it was perfect.
'But who is heartless enough to let a child fight a giant snake?' he thought.
