"Theo!" Stella exclaimed with wide eyes watching the demon strangle her partner. She didn't expect the demon to move so quickly with wounds in her back.
Theo struggled to fight, but it was pointless against a being of such strength. He could feel his magic draining away, Gluttony had touched one of his mana veins and was drawing mana from his core to her body.
Without thinking twice, he froze her arm—which was a last resort choice—and shattered it with his sword after summoning it from his ring.
At that moment, Stella arrived while willing mana into her sword. The blade had picked on a silvery white glow as she slashed her sword from over her head. She sliced through the demon with ease and her body exploded into a black ash.
Theo coughed as he inhaled gulps of air, "Have we won?" he asked, sounding completely defeated.
