Thea scanned her damaged arm. She was neither surprised or worried. "I didn't expect to be affected like this. Primordial demons are indeed scary if they can affect something like me."
As she spoke, Arthur failed to keep up now that his thoughts were scrambled. With no more adrenaline to fuel him, the wound on his shoulder looked rotten after fighting for so long. He had tried to burn the wound to stop losing blood, which worked, of course.
Though it didn't stop it from rotting.
In pain, he could only ask one question:
"Do I win?"
Thea straightened herself, her blue eyes burning with anticipation and deep excitement. "If you continue to fight like that, you will die faster, Arthur Bellrock." She paused to sigh. "And yes, you've passed the trial after a whole year of fighting an old lady."
'A year?'
She winked at him with a mischievous grin.
