With a cup of brown tea in her hand, Teresa smirked before she relaxed the small ceramic cup on the coffee table in front of her.
She was seated cross-legged with her eyes fixed on the small light crystal that illuminated the luxurious room she had been offered by the king.
"I really didn't want to wreak any havoc, but the stupid nobles are forcing my hand," she sounded hoarse and angered by the situation.
The meeting was unsuccessful and nothing had happened. It all came down to this Kingdom's nobles refusing to join the church or involve themselves in any partnerships with them. They had taken Obsidian's word for it and now none of them trusted the church. They had agreed not to ally themselves with her despite knowing that they had the potential of becoming one of the greatest powers on this continent.
It was annoying to see them all agree on such a dumb decision. Did they not fear a god's judgment?
