Chapter 49 - Hellfire Oblivion!

"Y-You…"

Bryan's breath caught in his throat as a figure materialized before him. His eyes widened in recognition as he stared at the mysterious silhouette standing beside the otherworldly spear.

He didn't understand why it had appeared, especially now.

His soul manifestation stood tall and resolute, its adult figure closely resembling his own as it exuded a formidable presence. It extended its hand and reached out, effortlessly seizing the spear, much to Bryan's surprise.

Bryan muttered with rising conviction, "If my soul can do it, then I can too!"

He wouldn't be deterred by pain, not now…not ever.

Bryan locked eyes with his blank soul manifestation, building up the determination and the resolve he needed.

*Phoo*

*Phoo*

Summoning every ounce of his strength, Bryan stepped forward, his hand outstretched towards the spear. The repulsive force emitted by the weapon surged with renewed intensity, as if testing his resolve.

Pain ripped through his body, threatening to overwhelm him, but he clenched his teeth and pressed on.

"Argh!"

'This time…it's my body…' Bryan briefly thought for a second before waves of pain assaulted his body.

No matter the target, Bryan prepared himself for any kind of pain. His first try gave him an inkling of the pain he was about to receive, so he mentally fortified and braced himself from the pain.

Gritting his teeth, he pushed against the force, refusing to let it hold him back.

His fingers trembled as they slowly pushed back against the repulsive force emitted by the spear, a few inches away from making contact.

The pain intensified, radiating from his fingertips to his very core, but he refused to back down. As seconds trickled by, his fingers brushed against the surprisingly cold surface of the spear., feeling the hum of its power resonating within.

Bryan's heart pounded in his chest, each beat a defiant drumroll of determination. Slowly stretching his fingers, which seemed to take about an eternity, he carefully grasped the spear's hilt.

He could feel the weight of the spear in his hand, the embodiment of his potential and his fate. The sensation of triumph mingled with the throbbing pain, creating an odd juxtaposition of emotions.

"Aargh!!"

Bryan let out a cry of pain, the spear increasing the force by a huge amount in retaliation to him grasping the spear.

As the agony threatened to overwhelm him, Bryan grit his teeth in defiance and with a surge of willpower, he fought back against the repulsive force, inch by agonizing inch.

His muscles strained, his body trembled, but he refused to yield. Beads of sweat dotted his forehead, a testament to his unwavering resolve.

It was him and the spear.

The sharp glint of the spear's tip seemed to shine against the pair of deep ebony eyes, enveloped with an indomitable fire.

In that moment, time seemed to stand still, the world around him fading into insignificance.

And then, a breakthrough.

With a strong shout and a final surge of determination, Bryan's fingers closed tightly around the spear, as if claiming victory over the pain itself. A surge of energy coursed through his veins, an electric current that pulsed with newfound power.

Emotions washed over him in a tumultuous wave; triumph, relief, and a profound sense of accomplishment. He had triumphed over the spear's retaliation, proving his worthiness to wield it.

Bryan stood there, trembling and breathless, his grip on the spear unyielding. Unbeknownst to him, his soul manifestation had unknowingly disappeared. But at this point, he couldn't care much since he did what he had sought out for.

The illusory realm seemed to shimmer and shift, acknowledging his triumph. A smile tugged at the corners of Bryan's lips, a mixture of satisfaction and relief.

"Ni-"

*Poof*

Suddenly, he felt his vision shift as he found himself in the vast expanse of a land spread out before him, a desolate and foreboding landscape teeming with…creatures that seemed to embody the very essence of darkness.

Countless figures of twisted and grotesque beings, each one emitting eerie screeches and guttural roars, littered the barren terrain. Their forms were varied, ranging from hulking monstrosities with jagged teeth to slithering abominations with multiple limbs.

The air was thick with malevolence, and a palpable sense of danger hung in the atmosphere.

Bryan was beyond confused as he didn't understand what was happening. He tried to move but something forbade him from doing so. He couldn't even slightly move his finger but he could look around with his eyes and he discovered something astonishing.

He was not perceiving the world through his own eyes but instead witnessing it through the gaze of another. The same stance, pose, and the very same spear that he grasped before the shift in vision, was now displayed before him in the guise of another.

The figure he was seeing through, stood tall with the same determined stance and a steadfast grip on the upright spear. The radiating aura was nothing short of dominating and peerless, exuding an indomitable presence that seemed to command the very elements around them.

Bryan felt like he was invincible, even in the face of the untold and uncountable creatures that lay scattered amongst the vast expanse.

The creatures, as if sensing the figure's or 'his' formidable presence, hesitated in their assault. Their cries of aggression transformed into wary growls as they approached and circled cautiously.

It was as if they recognized the power emanating from the person wielding the spear and instinctively understood the futility of challenging such strength.

Bryan's heart quickened with a mix of awe and curiosity as he observed this scene unfold. He could feel the raw energy pulsating through the figure's body, an untamed force that seemed to resonate with the power of the spear.

Bryan could feel 'his' mouth move as the figure uttered a few words in a language that Bryan couldn't comprehend, though the atmosphere crackled with an electric tension.

The words seemed to resonate with a power that stirred the very depths of the land. The dark creatures, their eyes burning with fury, reacted to the figure's words with a newfound aggression, driven into a frenzied rage.

With a deliberate and calculated movement, the figure slowly extended the black-tipped spear, pointing it directly at the seething mass of creatures. The air grew heavy with anticipation as a surge of energy coursed through the weapon, illuminating its edges with an ominous fiery glow.

And then, in a voice that carried the weight of an impending cataclysm, the figure uttered two haunting words, "Hellfire Oblivion."

*BOOM*

The moment those words left their lips, the world seemed to tremble in response.

Flames erupted from the spear, engulfing its surface in a fierce inferno that danced with malevolent intensity. The searing heat radiated outward, scorching the air and turning the landscape into a blazing hellscape.

Bryan watched in awe and trepidation as the flames transformed into a spiralling vortex of pure destruction. The dark creatures, once menacing, now found themselves trapped within a maelstrom of merciless fire.

*SCREEEEECCCHHHHH*

Their screams of rage were drowned out by the roaring flames, their forms twisted and consumed by the relentless inferno.

The power of the Hellfire Oblivion surged forth with unstoppable force, obliterating everything in its path. The ground cracked and shattered, fissures spreading like veins of molten lava, as the cataclysmic power of the spear wreaked havoc upon the land.

Amidst the chaos, the figure wielding the spear stood unwavering, their gaze fixed upon the annihilation they had unleashed. The flames danced in their eyes, which seemed to coincide with Bryan's own.

'What in the hell…'

Bryan, still observing through the eyes of the figure, felt a mixture of awe, fear, and a strange exhilaration. Indeed, Bryan's senses were overwhelmed by the awe-inspiring display of the Hellfire Oblivion.

As a denizen of Earth, he would have never thought he would witness such a level of devastation and raw power. The magnitude of destruction unleashed by the figure wielding the spear surpassed his wildest imagination.

The sheer power exhibited by the Hellfire Oblivion was nothing short of legendary. It was as if a force of nature had been unleashed, unyielding and unstoppable.

*Tsssssssss*

As the last echoes of the "Hellfire Oblivion" subsided, silence settled over the decimated landscape. The dark creatures, once a formidable presence, were reduced to smoldering remnants, scattered amidst the charred remains.

The figure slowly lowered the spear, its flames dwindling into embers, and turned away from the scene of destruction.

Their purpose fulfilled, they exuded a sense of calm and resolution, as if the cataclysm they had unleashed was merely a necessary means to an end.

Bryan's connection to the figure gradually dissolved, returning him fully to his own body.

Bryan's eyes flickered rapidly as his surroundings shifted, bringing him back to his mindscape. His hand remained tightly clenched around the spear, and as he glanced down at it, a powerful gaze filled his eyes.

"That was…awesome!" Bryan uttered as he recalled the Hellfire Oblivion.

The memory of the immense and devastating power he had witnessed remained etched in his mind, leaving an indelible mark.

Such power and destruction, it fuelled his motivation to train and cultivate his abilities with even greater fervour. He yearned to reach a level of power that could rival the destructive beauty of the Hellfire Oblivion.

Bryan understood that the path ahead would be arduous and demanding. The power he sought was not something to be attained easily or taken lightly. It required unwavering dedication, relentless training, and an unyielding spirit.

The image of the figure wielding the spear, surrounded by flames and commanding immense power, served as a constant reminder of what he aspired to achieve.

As Bryan gazed at the spear, his features slowly turned into a confusing look.

"Why is the spear here?"
