Lucas stared at his status screen, examining it carefully.

He had already asked the Oversoul System almost everything about the terms displayed. He experimented with some questions and arrived at different results.

Iff he tried to ask an unrelated question of the status screen, the Oversoul System would remain quiet.

On the other hand, if he asked a related question, then the Oversoul System would answer immediately. It showed that despite it being a guide, it can only answer fixed questions in relation to the status screen; beyond that it was useless.

Despite so, he was still nonetheless thankful he atleast had some knowledge of this new world. The lack of information made him feel uncomfortable and unsafe.

In a short time, he had already memorized the answers of the Oversoul System. So he didn't need to ask the system again. In accordance to the sentient-guide of the Oversoul System:

Soul Rank was the overall level or strength of the soul. It started from Rank F until the end, Rank SS. Currently, he was starting at Rank E, for how strong his rank was, he had no clue.

Soul Purity, on the other hand, was the talent of the soul. Depending on how pure the soul was, the faster one can advance through the Soul Ranks.

'...A++ is that decent?'

Lucas didn't have a clue, but seeing that the soul rankings earlier were in accordance to letters of the alphabet progressively rising, it was safe to say that A++ had quite talent beyond normal.

'If that's the case, then it seems I'm quite talented. But moving on.'

Soul Sockets were a curious case. It turned out they were holes in the soul that are supposed to be inserted by some type of spirit item.

As for what kind or what a spirit item was—unfortunately, the Oversoul System didn't answer him.

As for Oaths... Lucas suddenly narrowed his eyes. He wasn't a stranger to [Oaths]. The term also existed in his previous world, being one of the most mystical and magical powers known throughout the world.

Its uses were simple; it formed an unbreakable bond and promise between two beings.

It connected each other's karma and interwined them, forcing both beings to abiding the agreement they decided upon. No amount of will and power could obstruct that.

It's origins were a mystery. No one knew where they came from, people only knew it existed. People seldom to use Oaths, perceiving it as an sacred art that can only be used in grave matters.

Lucas chuckled at that thought. To use them in only grave matters weren't wrong. He also used them in 'grave' matters. He used Oaths to silence people that know his crimes.

Lucas shook his head. As for the rest..

"Soul Structure..."

Lucas raised his brows in intrigue. This one, he lacked the most information out of the rest.

In comparison to the other terms, the Oversoul System only gave limited information about it.

From the Oversoul System's words; Soul Structure was the complete structure of the soul. As for what that meant, most likely it was the physique or constitution of the soul.

Lucas shook his head. But take that with a grain of salt, he wasn't versed in the study of the soul.

While he did try learning about it once, he only scratched the basics of soul until he gave up in the end. He had too much to plan and learn in his previous life so the soul was least of his concerns at the time.

'But now I can learn it more... and with spirit and soul being thrown down as terms, perhaps this world is focused on the study of souls?'

Lucas mused silently. But moving on, for the last three he left for last to think about...

Soul Path. It was the path of the Spirit Master. Given that he had a soul path, did that mean he was a Spirit Master? Most likely so.

Soulcraft, on the other hand... was the craft of the soul. It was again another vague and useless answer by the Oversoul System. Then again, perhaps these certain knowledge were already natural to this world so the system guide didn't bother to explain it further.

As for the last two, Soul Technique and Soul Art....

Lucas closed his eyes and submerged his mind into focus. While in deep concentration, he called out in his heart strongly:

"Voidshadow Iris!"

Suddenly, within his body, shining white particles flowed and converged into a long white line. The long white line continuously transformed until it gathered on his pupils, completely submerging within them.

Tremble—!

Lucas body trembled as sweat poured down from his back. He slowly opened his eyes, showing a peculiar and bizarre appearance. Gone was his beady dark pupils, what replaced was dark violet pupils surrounded by vast darkness alike of the void.

He widened his eyes, surprised by what was happening. In front of him, the darkness seemed to be... alive; as if breathing and interacting with each other. And not only that, but the darkness seemed to be fond of him.

He shifted his eyes around the area, observing his surroundings. Throughout the vast landscape, spiritual darkness seemed to be dancing and shaking as if breathing. A scene that he can only describe as magical.

However, his thoughts came to a stop while his expression suddenly changed. Intense danger screamed within his body; warning him of his death.

Lucas immediately moved his gaze to corner. If this was indeed a completely new world, then it was possible there's also extraterrestrial threats that roamed...or worst thing, the civilization in this world are blood-thirsted.

Woosh—!

In a curse of fate; the devil spoke. A loud guttering growl resounded from the area. Lucas widened his eyes in shock, his gaze staring at the opposite ends of his position.

"Growl...!"

In opposite of him, a beast stood three meters tall. It was a humongous dark beast. It had dark, void scales radiating an intense malevolent aura around its body. Its eyes were crimson red, bloodthirsted while staring at Lucas. It was out for blood.
