Kaito: Good morning, Yuki.
Yuki: Good morning, Kaito. I made breakfast for us. Come and eat.
Kaito: Thank you, Yuki. You're so thoughtful.
[They eat together and head to Celestia Magical Academy. In the classroom, they overhear rumors and speculation about their relationship. After class, they eat lunch together in the canteen.]
Kira: Hey, Kaito, why are you going out with Yuki? She's a loser who couldn't protect her younger brother. Shiro Fuyuka is the real hero, and it's her fault her brother died. You should leave Yuki alone and come with us.
Kaito: (thinking to himself) They don't know that I'm Shiro Fuyuka, and Yuki is my sister and lover.
Kaito: I love Yuki, and I won't change my mind. Leave us alone.
[Kira and her friends leave, and Kaito and Yuki continue to eat their lunch. In the last class session, the history teacher brings up the topic of Shiro Fuyuka, the hero who risked his life to protect the kingdom and invaded the first base of the Shadow Syndicate.]
Teacher: Class, what is your opinion of Shiro Fuyuka being a hero?
Mayumi: He's a hero. He knew that if he brought his teammates, they would die, and he considered it a heroic sacrifice.
Kaito: (laughing a little) It's a bit exaggerated. When I was Shiro Fuyuka, I didn't think people would see me like that.
Yuki: (whispering) That's not true, Kaito.
[The teacher asks about Shiro Fuyuka's last words before he died, and Kaito notices Yuki looking depressed and upset. He raises his hand to answer.]
Teacher: Kaito, what were Shiro Fuyuka's last words?
Kaito: (with a heavy heart) Shiro's last words were, "I'm sorry, Yuki." It meant that he didn't fulfill his promise to his older sister to return home alive, no matter what happens. He promised to come back alive, and they made that promise to each other.
[The teacher and his classmates were shocked by Kaito's revelation. The teacher commends Kaito. After class, the teacher gives them an assignment to research Shiro Fuyuka's life.]
Teacher: Class, your assignment is to research the life of Shiro Fuyuka.
Kaito: (accidentally blurting out) That's too easy.
[The student council president, Jean, approaches Kaito and Yuki.]
Jean: What's too easy about it, Kaito? Come to our student council room. Bring Yuki, too.
[In the student council room, Jean asks about Kaito's knowledge of Shiro Fuyuka.]
Jean: Who are you, Kaito? How did you know all of this?
Kaito: (thinking for a moment) We're close friends of Yuki, and she told me the truth.
Yuki: (nodding) That's the truth. I told Kaito what happened.
Jean: I'm sorry for misunderstanding the situation. I hope you can forgive me.
Kaito: (smiling) It's okay, Jean.
[Scene: Kaito and Yuki are walking home after a long day. Yuki appears distraught as she looks up at Kaito.]
Yuki: "Kaito, there's something I need to talk to you about."
Kaito: "Sure, Yuki. What's on your mind?"
Yuki: "I don't know what to do. I have two men in my life, Kaito and Shiro, but they're the same person. I'm confused and don't understand."
[Scene: Kaito stops walking and faces Yuki, taking her hands in his.]
Kaito: "Yuki, I know this must be difficult for you to comprehend, but I am both Kaito and Shiro. I had to change my identity to escape the Shadow Syndicate and to protect you. I don't want to put you in danger or harm anyone else."
[Scene: Yuki looks at Kaito, her eyes glistening with tears. She embraces him tightly.]
Yuki: "Kaito, I'm so sorry. I love you no matter who you are. You don't have to change yourself for me."
Kaito: "I know, Yuki. But changing my identity was necessary to keep us safe. I just want to live a peaceful life with you and leave my past behind there. That's why I don't want to join the hero party."
[Scene: Kaito briefly transforms into Shiro using his Snow Blizzard Swordsman powers to reassure Yuki before changing back to Kaito.]
Kaito: "See, Yuki. It's me, Kaito. But I can become Shiro anytime you want. For now, let's just go home and rest."
