Chereads / TEEN WOLF: BLOODBORN / Chapter 175 - CHAPTER 171

Chapter 175 - CHAPTER 171

Satomi knew of the difference between her and Deucalion from their very first confrontation - knew he was stronger, more of a werewolf, than her. But it wasn't until she held his hands when he was fully shifted that she understood why she knew of the difference.

Over a century of living and seeing things that even other supernaturals would believe as common stories, and yet she couldn't remember ever seeing something or someone that made her feel such blind danger.

The closest being that came to this was a certain one that she and an even older creature had put an end to over 50 years ago – they had put an end to it. But the thing was that she couldn't see the same thing happening if it was Deucalion they had been up against.

Seeing the Darach's attack also having no effect on him, the same attack Tristan had described as feeling like his soul was violently pushed out of his body, she instantly realized how high the bar had been raised upon Deucalion's full shift.

She was thankful she sent Tierney away with Stilinski's boy as the currently ongoing fights weren't something she could reasonably contend with or even hope to hold her own against in any form.

Her thoughts were broken as she felt Deucalion trying to pull out his hand from her grip but she strongly held onto it as Tristan and Derek leaped at the man, only to find herself yanked towards him.

She put her other hand across her face to block his headbutt, which she did, but ending up feeling as if he had broken her hands.

He tilted his body slightly to avoid Derek and also grab him by his neck, leaving him open for Tristan and Jennifer.

Jennifer pulled out a black dagger and muttered something under her breath before swinging it viciously at Deucalion.

Tristan on the other hand jumped up in the air and had his tails hold him there by pinning them to the ground, his slitted eyes staring hard at Deucalion, pushing himself not to miss the man's slightest action.

He could see Deucalion already moving to stop Jennifer's desperate attack so he immediately went into action. The blood coated around his fingers floated up in front of him into a blob that he clapped between his hands.

Derek and Deucalion were confused by why he did that but then Deucalion sensed what was happening to the blood clapped between Tristan's hands and moved Satomi in Tristan's line of sight and did the same thing to Derek for Jennifer.

He had barely moved Satomi when a thin blood trail shot towards him so fast that it grazed Satomi's shoulders, who quickly let go of his hand, and pierced into his shoulders in an instant before he could fully dodge.

Jennifer grunted irritably as she was forced to stop her stab as Derek was suddenly in her way, with Deucalion stumbling a step back.

Derek got up immediately and pressed on the attack with a flying kick to his chest at the same time that Tristan used his tails as a slingshot to propel himself towards Deucalion who stumbled another step backwards.

Unfortunately for them, Deucalion wasn't so amateurish that anyone could blatantly take advantage of him stumbling backward.

Despite being blind, Deucalion was not in any way impaired by his disabilities, and just like how he siphoned the abilities and strengths of his betas upon killing them, his senses in a way siphoned the strength of his blind eyes and exponentially increased the capabilities of the other senses.

His nose was quick in picking up the scent of the highest threat and he turned in that direction to face the incoming threat that was Tristan.

What no one expected was for him to jump towards Tristan, leaving a crater from the force he took off with.

With blood gauntleted hands and jagged edge tails, Tristan clashed with Deucalion midair and it felt as if he was hit with a truck that the only thing that saved him from flying away from the impact was the force he descended with.

His tails were quick to wrap around the beast of a man and he opened his mouth to sink his fangs into Deucalion only to have Deucalion's hand grab his face and slam him into the ground as they landed.

A palm strike hit his chin and disoriented him for a second in which Satomi kicked behind both of his knees and brought him down for Derek's knee to hit his face backwards, leaving him in a prime position, a short distance from Jennifer who shouted and brought her hands together in a loud smack that caused a piercing sound to assault Deucalion's ears.

With his sense thrown off balance for a few seconds, the others were quick to act with Tristan already launching two blood lances that pierced into Deucalion's chest.

Deucalion brought up his hands in an attempt to stop the next incoming attack his senses were warning him about but Jennifer was already there, slicing his muscles with her black knife and leaving Derek's ten claws to rip through his chest unimpeded – all which brought out a extremely pained shout from Deucalion.

Satomi drove her elbows into his shoulders when he tried getting up but all the pain did was make him more angry that he neglected it and violently pushed himself back to his feet and wildly attacked the nearest person before him, which turned out to be Jennifer.

She tried calling upon the wind to protect her but ended up too slow as Deucalion's fist dug itself into her abdomen, breaking bones and rattling her spine as she shot off like a cannonball into the nearby shrubbery.

She grunted in pain, breathing sharply as she started healing. The thought of running was getting increasingly louder in her head and she wanted nothing more than to do that and also complete the ritual while hiding low, but while she might not have the acute senses of werewolves, she knew that she would swiftly be pursued by everyone should she attempt running.

Unlike Deucalion who was going up against the Buddhist and Hale Pack because he had individuals of interests in both packs, and could pull off a truce because he had the power to push them all back, hers was different because everyone wanted to kill her.

She cursed upon realizing that Deucalion was still easily making his way towards her while fighting off three Alphas.

'Monster.' She thought dreadfully. Her eyes shifted to Tristan who was the trickiest to deal with and subconsciously shuddered as the thought of Tristan somehow getting as strong as Deucalion flitted through her mind. 'Monsters.'

A sudden pained roar echoed through the surrounding trees and she briefly wondered what was going on with the betas and Alpha twins.

…..

On the other side of the trees, a progressing distance from where Deucalion and the Alphas were having a wild dance, was where the four betas and an Argent were fighting against the monstrosity that was the fusion of two Alphas that had perfect synchronicity.

Chris had his left broken arm held against his side while his right hand fingers were tightly gripped around the handle and trigger of his gun.

His injuries were considered extremely light when compared to the state of the werewolves struggling to surround the fused Alpha.

One part of Malia's face was mutilated and covered in blood, with no one knowing whether the eye on that part was still working, and four deep holes on her shoulders.

Scott almost had two of his fingers severed off by a traveling claw slash. Brett was visibly limping, and if one looked closely at his back they'd find part of a broken arrow sticking out quite inconspicuously. Lori wasn't the worst looking out of the five of them, but she was the one that was the closest to slumping over and fainting… or possibly dying.

The jacked up Alpha they were fighting wasn't without his own bodily harm souvenirs, quite a few of them in fact, and he looked clearly spent. Pushing himself widely forward with the adrenaline from his pain and anger, plus a repeatedly(and literally) bruised ego.

Turns out that even Alphas had an extent to which they could fight off a mistletoe bullet that even with their exponentially enhanced vitality upon fusing, the poison was still wreaking havoc in their system and messing with their senses.

They roared angrily and sprinted to grab the nearby limping Brett and used him to smack his sister away, no one knowing if she was getting up from that.

From behind, Malia grabbed a felled tree and swung it against the Alphas, making them fall forward.

The Alphas saw something thrown at them from Chris' direction – with the man being who he was and also the main reason for their current state – and they quickly slapped it away, only for it to turn out to be an ordinary stone. Their confusion had hardly set in when they heard something hitting the ground close to their feet and-

BOOOOOM!

The small bomb exploded merely centimeters away from them, blinding them with its sharp bright light and injuring them with the few tiny shrapnel that made their way into their body.
