The [Space Bracelet] looked like the usual fitness trackers from the previous era. The wristband had a black crystal in the middle that was usually dull, but whenever there was an upgrade prompt, it would show up as text.
Connor began to study the [Portable Space] skill. He tried to put Lilith inside but failed. Then he took off her panties and tried again, which worked. Preliminary judgment showed that living things couldn't be put inside while dead things could.
He put water in it, which worked fine. When he put both water and panties together, they separated automatically. When he poured water on the panties and then put them in, they became wet inside the space bracelet.
Preliminary judgment showed that all items placed inside would be kept separate from each other and retain their respective attributes intact.
Next, Connor wanted to test its volume capacity.
Suddenly he asked Lilith, "Can you spray water?"
"Huh?" blushing slightly after just taking off her panties a moment ago.
"I mean can you use water magic?"
"Uh huh. We Sky Dragons are proficient in all kinds of magic. Why?"
"Great! Give me some water please. Not too powerful - just plain water."
Lilith used Zero Ring Magic [Water Creation]. Connor used his courier skill [Portable Space]. A steady stream of clear water flowed into the bracelet.
"No... don't take any more!" warned Lilith as she saw him continuously sucking up more water into the space bracelet.
After filling it up with about eight tons of water, Connor closed it down. He found out through preliminary judgment that Portable Space's length, width, and height were two meters each and could hold about eight tons of stuff altogether.
"What if we continue pouring even when it's already full?" wondered Connor as he poured more water into it. The result was that instead of overflowing or breaking down; however, one pair of wet panties fell out - this indicated that Portable Space had a first-in-first-out rule where later entries pushed earlier ones out if necessary.
"Okay, I've finished my experiment for now," said Connor. "You should turn back into human form as being a dragon is inconvenient."
"I can't transform back," replied Lilith poutingly.
"Why not?"
"My panties are wet."
...
Connor promised to buy Lilith a new pair of panties once they earned their first bucket of gold. How would they earn it? The answer was, of course, by continuing to deliver packages. On one hand, it was out of interest, and on the other hand, he wanted to see what kind of reward he would receive after upgrading his courier talent.
He had always had a feeling that the Nexus Overlord profession that took hundreds of years and countless magic crystals to transfer into couldn't just be an ordinary courier.
The silver giant dragon carrying Connor returned to the doorstep of the Merchant Association. As soon as it landed, people poured out in droves.
"This is amazing! Is this the legendary [Dragon Knight] profession?"
"I was there just now and heard that his job potential was a courier."
"Really? Is there really such a thing as a courier who rides dragons?"
"I heard that the Gates brothers from Twin Dragon Logistics own two land dragons."
"What rubbish are you talking about? Can land dragons compare with real dragons like sky dragons? Land dragons crawl on the ground while sky dragons soar through the skies. If you want to compare them, land dragons can only eat sky dragon dust."
Connor flipped off the dragon's back and Aaron came towards him, brandishing his sword.
"I want to fight you," said Aaron.
Before Connor could react, Aaron attacked with his signature move, [Flame Sword]. The sword energy and blade instantly approached him.
Connor raised his hand to block it. The portable space on his wrist activated and swallowed up the flames on the sword, leaving only a few drops of water that splashed on Aaron's face.
"What kind of sorcery is this?!" exclaimed Aaron in shock.
"Just went to the bathroom and didn't wash my hands," retorted Connor nonchalantly.
"You're too much!" yelled Aaron in frustration. He tried a few more moves with his Flame Sword technique, but each time Connor easily blocked them without seeming to do anything.
Aaron couldn't understand why a courier had such skills. He gave up using his sword techniques and charged at Connor like a hungry tiger going for its prey. But little did he know that Connor had been waiting for this moment all along.
The pure water stored in his portable space had been boiling into steam due to the high temperature of Aaron's Flame Sword technique. It was like a kettle lid constantly expanding outwards from the heat. With a wave of his hand, hot air spewed out towards Aaron who screamed in pain as he retreated dozens of steps backwards.
Connor then took out some cold water from his portable space and poured it over Aaron who writhed on the ground covered in mud from rolling around so much in agony.
"That was terrifying! The Dragon Knight just waved their hand and sent Lord Aaron crawling everywhere," said one person watching from afar.
"Did you see what technique they used?" asked another.
"I couldn't see anything clearly - I just saw white gas appear before their opponent fell down screaming. It's truly terrifying," replied the first person nodding vigorously.
After this brief battle, Connor walked calmly into the hall while everyone watched him intently, waiting for him to take on new work opportunities. A man dressed as an army supply officer wearing Royal City military uniform came towards him and stood by his side offering a handshake.
"I believe you are our esteemed Dragon Knight Mr. Connor whom we've heard so much about from Twin Dragon Logistics' Lord Aaron? We have a large shipment that we hope you can handle," said the supply officer.
"Hey, hey. You've got the wrong person. The real Lord Aaron is here," said one of Aaron's attendants as they helped him up outside the door with third-degree burns on his face.
Aaron pushed his attendants aside and approached Connor, trying to display some noble etiquette and give him a hat tip, but he looked like a beggar with torn clothes and an injured body.
The supply officer frowned and put a copper coin in his round hat.
Aaron angrily threw his hat to the ground. "What are you doing? You're insulting me! I'm the real Aaron!"
The supply officer looked him up and down with crossed arms. "Oh really? But I heard that the Gates brothers from Twin Dragon Logistics are famous for their dragons and specialize in long-distance transportation of large quantities of goods. Where is your dragon?"
Aaron was furious upon hearing this. If it weren't for getting drunk with his mistress a few days ago and losing the dragon he had supposed to sign a soul contract with by opening its cage at night, he wouldn't have been sent here by his angry father fro below Royal City. He gritted his teeth trying to find a way to prove himself but couldn't think of anything.
The supply officer turned around and looked at Connor, saying: "On the other hand, this gentleman has an impressive appearance, elegant manners like nobility, accompanied by sky dragons at all times - surely he must be a hero."
Aaron laughed out loud in anger: "Him? He's just a commoner!"
The supply officer drew out his sword from his waist: "How dare you speak disrespectfully towards Lord Aaron!"
Aaron also yelled: "Who dares touch me? Let's see who dares touch me!"
The supply officer waved his hand and small groups of people quickly gathered outside in formation on the street, surrounding them on both sides while two attendants held Aaron's arms behind him tightly.
"This man obstructed public affairs in broad daylight pretending to be Gates family heir - take him away and hang him!" commanded the supply officer.
Their screams accompanied by sounds of beating slowly faded away into the distance.
"Master Garrison, you are truly an expert," said Connor with a smile.
The supply officer bowed and introduced himself. "I am Cole Garrison, logistics team leader of the Royal City military supply office. The mother and daughter just now were orphans of my deceased comrade. Thank you for lending a hand."
"It was just a small favor. But aren't you afraid of facing the wrath of the Gates family?" asked Connor.
"The defense of the city is our top priority, and we both serve the kingdom. On the way, we just punished some hooligans who were pretending to be from wealthy families causing trouble - the Gates family thanked us graciously enough. Isn't that right?" replied Cole Garrison meaningfully as he glanced at Connor.
"We who work down here don't understand those tricks of noble gentlemen. All I can say is that I only recognize dragons, not people. This road is long and dangerous; we cannot entrust it to inexperienced kids but instead rely on strong individuals like you."
Both men knew that their earlier misunderstanding was just for show.
Compared to Aaron's arrogance, Cole Garrison leaned more towards trusting and commissioning this big order to Connor out of gratitude and faith.
After signing the distribution agreement, the goods were quickly unloaded from the ship - ten boxes full of armor and weapons imported from Dwarf Kingdom.
They needed to be transported from Port Linge to Capital Changfeng.
