As beams of scorching light shot forth like a torrential downpour, the intense slaughter commenced. The first wave of beasts that crashed into the barrier was quickly decimated by Elder Wan and the other cultivators, but this did nothing to instill fear in the beast army. Instead, it ignited their ferocity even further.
Before the remains of their fallen companions hit the ground, another wave of beasts surged forward, undeterred by death, wielding power capable of splitting mountains and cracking the earth. They relentlessly slammed into the barrier.
These beasts, more powerful than the previous wave, displayed a variety of attack methods. Some slashed the air with razor-sharp claws, aiming at the barrier, while others swung iron tails hundreds of feet long, creating black storms that pounded the shield.
