Ever since that day he had been beaten to within an inch of his life by the mutant dubbed the "Protector," Morne had wanted to turn one of these mutants into an undead.
Unfortunately, the elves didn't seem like the type of people to look kindly on a necromancer raising their friends and loved ones, or even less intelligent things like wild animals.
The chances they knew of the undead elves he had brought to previous battles were high, but unless he explicitly told them, they would never be able to deduce exactly what those undead were. More likely they would think it was mind control or a new method for the goblins to use their control of mushrooms.
The point was, they might be able to connect those undead to him, but since they already "knew" everything Necromancy was capable of, they wouldn't have the puzzle pieces necessary to identify the undead as undead if he didn't reveal it.
