Chapter 104 - Take Root

"You humans are too tall!" cursed a goblin. "How are we supposed to scout ahead when you stand out like a sore thumb?"

They were walking through a dense forest filled with so much vitality that the grass went up to the humans' waists, swallowing the goblins up completely, and brush and trees barred their path regularly.

"Your king is the one that sent us on this mission," Essenla snorted. "Take it up with him."

The goblin's expression became ugly, but he kept his mouth shut. He was far too low on the totem pole to demand things of the king.

"Relax, Grensky," said the only other goblin as he slapped the first on the shoulder. "I'm sure the humans know how to keep themselves hidden. Isn't that right, humans?"

"I don't know about Morne, but I can hide if I need to," Essenla said as she fiddled with her weapon.
