Chapter 99 - Mycontae

Gram scratched his mushrooms but did as he was told, leaving his prisoners in the presence of the goblin monarch and his advisors.

"They are of no use to us, Your Majesty," one of the advisors chimed, looking at the humans with a look like he stepped in something.

"I agree," said another. This one didn't bear the disgust of her colleague, and was instead more practical. She was the only goblin woman present, and the first one Morne had seen.

She was also the only one with hair. The raven locks poked out of the edges of her tall hat, a hat the others shared. It was shaped like an overturned bucket, with plenty of holes for her mushrooms to breathe. "The one with the square eyes means to do us harm, so we should cull these tall creatures before they can do so."

"They look like elves," said a third, rubbing his chin.
