The entire room seemed to quake with the goblin's anger, the glowing mushrooms' light flickering as his baleful gaze became sharp and piercing.

With a gesture, Essenla was freed from her confines and she and Morne were thrown against the wall, where their arms and legs were bound by growths sprouting from it.

The goblin strode through the prison, coming to a stop a few feet away from the cowering elf woman, who only trembled harder when he approached. From his angle, Morne could not see the goblin's face, but he did feel the quakes worsen for a moment before, all at once, they stopped.

"You should not have experienced such a thing," the goblin snarled hatefully, though whether that hate was directed at her or someone else was hard to tell. Whatever the case, he sounded ready to murder someone.
