Over two years ago, he had received news from the main church that Azath had Anointed one of his faithful. Being a lowly bishop, he didn't get much more information than that, but there had been rumors and gossip that Azath had done so to "balance the scales," which had been tilted by a new Anointed of Jiklok.
But after two years of scouring the Enled continent from top to bottom, the church had found nothing, so the rumors remained just that: rumors.
Some speculated that Jiklok's Anointed was in that undead-ridden hellscape Vadnerben, others that the Anointed was on another continent entirely, and yet others had the outlandish claims that the Anointed had infiltrated their churches and was hiding right under their nose.
