"Somewhat," Morne said half-heartedly. He couldn't very well divulge everything about the books just because the two had been through several life-or-death ordeals together.
"We should grab them and leave," Geleb told him, pointing at his throat with his thumb. "I need some water before this gets worse."
Morne agreed, and the duo approached the dais cautiously. After all that had happened, they held little trust for their stony hosts, and half-expected a trap to go off at any moment.
