Chapter 64 - Big One

Morne brought his mace around as the vampire lunged toward Geleb, aiming to bash her in the head, but she pulled back at the last second, weaving around to Geleb's side and putting the noble between her and Morne.

Geleb whirled around, cutting out with his blade, but she jumped back, narrowly avoiding having her guts spilled onto the floor.

"Two armed, strong men picking on a poor, defenseless woman? Have you no shame?" the vampire teased.

"Don't engage in a confrontation of physical might," warned Geleb. "She's using her vampire magic, so she's stronger than she was before."

Morne took a mental note of the advice. After being launched across the room, he had no intentions of wrestling her again, but her being stronger was still valuable information.

"Tsk." The woman's foot shot out, colliding with Geleb's knee and bending it at an unnatural angle.

Geleb cried out as he collapsed to his knees, but he didn't forget to swing at the woman as he fell.
