Essenla grimaced, letting out an uncertain hum.

"I don't think I'm ready to sit through three hours of how the Mother Tree created your people," she said carefully. "No offense."

Adrelhena just snorted. "That is not what I meant. Look to the stars above you."

The humans tilted their heads back to look up at the stars, one with a placid expression and the other still grimacing as she awaited a long-winded story.

For several minutes, the stars spun and the planets orbited around them, creating a scene of some distant part of space that neither were familiar with.

But it was enrapturing, so enthralling that they lost themselves in it, not even noticing when the Dryad closed her eyes in prayer and the tree around them seemed to pulse with vitality.
