Currently, I was sitting in a large meeting that consisted of every single person who was in the camp. The place resembled a theater very closely, with a stage in the front for the speakers and a large area for people to spectate.
Every person from another race was asked to spectate from a special box at the side of the stage so I was currently sitting with a few dwarves and orcs while a speaker was debriefing everyone about the plans of attacks and the possible position of the demon. The only elves were Rivena and well just Rivena.
'It seems they really think we're going to be fighting a singular demon. Are they trying to lead everyone here to their deaths?' I thought looking at the crowd and with a slight yawn, I looked to my right and observed a dwarf sitting close to me.
'It's my first time seeing a dwarf...'
"What are you looking at elf?" The dwarf looked at me annoyed.
"Sorry..." I titled my head and said with an apologetic smile on my face.
I then turned my head towards Rivena sitting on my left and whispered:
"Do the elves have a bad relationship with the dwarves?"
"There's been a slight quarrel over a mine we own, perhaps they are still angry. I'm not very sure." Rivena whispered back.
"I see."
A few seconds after our conversation a pale woman walked out from behind a set of curtains onto the stage.
'Dawn...' I thought while chewing on my indestructible nails.
Dawn was a lot taller and stronger too, you could see her muscles through her armor almost. If you thought Dawn was pale well, it seemed like she's gotten even paler. Her hair was tied up in a neat ponytail, with bangs falling on the sides of her face. She wore a beautiful set of silver armor with a white cape.
'I wonder how she got that scar on her eye...'
The fact that she had gotten another scar meant she's been through hardships, perhaps even more than me who had a secret persona as an SS-ranked adventurer, the highest rank was SSS but I was much weaker when I was an adventurer. It's only to be expected I wasn't SSS ranked at the time.
A few more people walked out from the curtains I knew two of them. Silas Westfall, and Amelia the Holy Saintess.
"I would like to welcome our great heroes, everyone!" The speaker said with a bow as each of the heroes walked up to the end of the stage.
"First I would like everyone to recognize the fabled Hero Dawn Leviea!"
Cheers erupted from the crowd.
"A brave girl who took up the Holy Blade Excalibur and has constantly repelled the demon's threat. And here she and our other heroes will do it again!"
The cheers roared louder.
"Next I would like to recognize Silas Westfall! Recently promoted to Archwizard, a true prodigy of our generation known for his powerful original spells!'
Silas had grown much taller and had a fair air of maturity to him compared to when he was younger.
The speaker then pointed to Amelia, "Amelia the Holy Saintess! Another one of our great saviors."
Amelia gave a simple smile to the crowd.
"Next we have, our great Ivar Cruix, a true prodigy who can use any weapon!"
A man with grey hair and golden eyes stood there, his body was fairly muscular and slightly tanned. He simply wore a grey button down and a pair of black pants, while a chain and sword were on his waist, and a massive claymore and axe were on his back.
'I feel like I've heard this guy's name before... But the next one, I'm not so sure.'
The last person on the stage was a very small boy or perhaps a man I wasn't sure of the person's age they looked quite young. The person was very short, with snow-white hair similar to mine, and dark black eyes. He was pale and wore a cloak over his body, if there was anything else I noticed it was that he didn't even have a shadow.
"Our final hero is um..." The speaker swallowed but quickly regained his confidence. "Drameur Valence! He is uh... Very uh, talented with assassinations?" The speaker hesitantly said while reading a card.
Drameur looked slightly displeased but that's all.
"And before our Hero Dawn Leviea speaks on our upcoming battle, we will recognize the representatives who bravely came here from other races!"
I opened my mouth slightly surprised and looked over at Rivena who raised her eyebrow noticing me staring at her.
"Oh, sorry. I forgot to tell you." Rivena soon got up after her words.
Sighing I got up from my seat following after her and said:
"Don't worry about it." I had a slightly sour expression on my face.
We all exited through a door that led to the stage and lined up, The crowd was massive and watched the stage with proud looks on their faces.
Looking over I saw Dawn placing medals on us starting from an orc at the end of the small line, there were only 8 of us. Including me and Rivena.
Soon it was my turn and Dawn looked up at my face, I kept an indifferent expression as best as I could but I knew my face was probably slightly betraying me more or less.
Dawn set the medal around my neck, and sitting there she said:
"Thank you for your bravery." With a smile on her face.
I wasn't surprised by her words because she said the literal same thing to everyone else, but when she finally took her hands off the medal I saw her twitch slightly and freeze.
"Do I know you from somewhere? Your cloak seems familiar."
"Uh... No?"
"So you're not an adve-"
Cutting her off was Silas beckoning her on I almost let out a sigh whenever she moved on to Rivena without any more questioning, while I wanted to talk to Dawn again it would be bad right now... It would be better to meet her on the battlefield in solitary and have a conversation alone.
Silas gave me a slightly suspicious and curious look, before moving on.

"Ugh, seriously," I complained while looking at an invitation I received.
The invitation was to a dinner at the small mansion, where I assumed the hero's party stayed it asked for both me and Rivena. The invitation was clearly a summoning, and I was bummed by it.
With the fight happening in three days, well the fight I knew was going to go wrong I wanted to make all the right preparations. My hooded disguise was good but, my cloak is literally a living superstar. The cloak was all I wore for my entire time as an adventurer, and the only clue to my identity was the cloak. While the cloak I wore was extremely simple, it had intricate gold outlines on the edges, and while the spell disguises anyone from recognizing my face it doesn't mean people won't see my hair sticking out.
The things connecting me to the mysterious adventurer were the exact cloak and my snow-white hair poking out of the hood. Nobody was able to retain the information about my facial features, or even recognize them due to the powerful spell on the cloak.
'Maybe people will just think I was an elf?' I laughed at my thoughts.
"Rivena we have a dinner to attend tomorrow evening."
Noticing there was no reply I turned back and saw her already fast asleep.
'Guess I'll tell her in the morning.'
