Exiting the inn closer to midnight I made my way toward the next target Silas Dawnfall. Casually strolling the street towards Silas' house I started humming while thinking of where I should go after completing my tasks. I need to get stronger before fighting Izune but I might not have a choice if I don't leave before Saikeya tells him my location. Upon arriving at the mansion I noticed a lot of carriages out front. Of all things to happen during a mission. I noticed two distinguished figures entering together. One is Randall Deathveil flanked by a death knight and the other is Catherine Waterson. Lucky me three targets in one place. I circled the outside of the mansion until I found a couple servants talking outside. Making my presence known I said, "Hello there. My name is Ronald. I was sent by Randall Deathveil to help out if needed.".
The younger maid joyfully said, "Thank goodness! We were getting overwhelmed by the amount of guests. My name is Julianna. I'm the head maid of the Dawnfall mansion. Let me know if you need any assistance.".
Following her inside I quickly changed into a butler's suit and was hurriedly given a tray of wine glasses and told to offer it to the guests. Walking the floor I made a quick note of where all three targets were located. making multiple trips giving out wine and collecting empty glasses I was confident that I could take out Silas and Randall in a matter of seconds but Catherine had been watching me since I first entered the ballroom. She had a lustful look in her eye so I decided to take advantage of that. Slowly moving through the crowd of nobles I got behind her and said, "Meet me in Silas's room in ten minutes.".
Making my way back to the kitchen I found Julianna and asked, "Where is Silas's room located? I have an important meeting in a couple minutes.".
She looked shocked and answered, "I can't tell you that. I will be betraying my master.".
I pulled out ten gold coins and gave them to her. Her eyes lit up and she hastily pulled me by the hand out a side door and up the main stairs and pointed straight back to the biggest door. Julianna gave me a thumbs up and ran out of the mansion as fast as possible. I made my way to the giant door and entered before making myself comfortable on the bed. I'm gonna have to actually sleep with her before trying anything. Voice Amplification is extremely dangerous to fight against. She can instantly kill me if I make a wrong move so she needs to be tired before I can take her out. Hearing a knock on the door I said, "Come in.".
The door slowly opened before Catherine stepped inside, already taking her clothes off making her way towards me. I started shutting down some of my emotions before embracing her. It took thirty minutes before she was finally worn out and already falling asleep. I quickly slit her throat before making my way downstairs. I've betrayed Mina's trust again but it was the only way to get her to lower her guard. It's been a couple days since I've been this upset but no time to dwell on it. I made my way back into the kitchen and grabbed my bag and changed into my armor. Making my way into the ballroom I slowly crept my way towards Slias before cutting him in half by the waist then cutting from his pelvis to his head.
I'm tired of this. I went full speed towards Randall and hit him as hard as possible in the chest, blowing a hole through his chest and launching him through a wall. I went over to check if he would revive or stay dead. Luckily he stayed dead. I made my way toward the inn. I took one of the pills I had in my bag and ordered three bottles of ale before returning to my room and downing all three bottles in a matter of minutes. Two left and I can leave Ventess. Waking the next morning with a terrible hangover that quickly disappeared when my ability returned. Walking outside after packing my bag I noticed papers hanging off many different buildings and walls with a sketch of me in my armor with "The Lullaby" written under it. A reward for a hundred gold coins if I'm captured alive. Priscilla and Liam are gonna be harder to kill now that the entire kingdom is on an even higher alert after last night and even looking for me now.
Staking out Liam's house I noticed it was decrepit and no servants around but had more than twenty guards posted around the property. I felt someone staring at me from somewhere making me turn quickly, catching a glimpse of a hooded figure running away. I quickly caught the figure pulling the hood down. To my surprise it was Izett. I asked her, "Why are you watching me?".
She answered, "I was seeing if you were actually taking care of your targets.".
I said, "As you can see I've killed all but two.".
Izett said, "This is my last advice to you. Liam never turns off his ability so you need to overcome your fear to even enter the house and Priscilla stays near the castle at the top of the tower. She is waiting for someone to show her a new path. She is tired of fighting. Don't die Rokuza.".
I said, "Thanks. Make sure to take over the kingdom after I leave and tell Izune when he gets here that I'll return to Foract in two years' time.".
We went our separate ways. I quickly put on my armor before making my way towards Liam's house. I vibrated my sword inching closer to the guards. They quickly noticed me before charging me. I blocked each strike easily. One from the left and right. A thrust from a spear. An arrow and bolt shot at me in desperation. I dispatched them quickly before the other guards had a chance to react. After killing all the guards I stepped onto the porch ready to enter.
