Zai
What followed on from Finn's match was a massive coverup.
The committee overseeing the Tournament didn't want the Espada's "stress-induced heart attack" to affect the enthusiasm for the semi-finals. Thus, the man had been quietly hospitalized and his "heart attack" was blamed on congenital heart disease.
Zai knew this was bullshit because Quynh had rushed the stage after the medics, and she'd quietly purged his system of the tainted elixir, while taking in as much information as she could from his sweat and blood. Her healing touch confirmed that he'd been using the stuff for at least a few months, likely as far back as the first round, and also that there were copious stimulants added to the elixir above what she'd discovered on the train ride.
Her pet theory now was that the baseline elixir was being used as a vehicle for drugging the athletes using them.
