Zai
Zai flew backward as she avoided another thrust from her opponent. Flying along the street, she came to a junction, and an enemy tank opened fire from thirty meters away.
Turning as soon as she heard the blast, Zai raised the path of her sword until it was carving the shell in half, sending its pieces parting to either side of her.
The Espada charged, his sword coming forward in an underhand slice. Zai dodged along the same street as the tank. As it began to back away, she landed on top of it.
"You are more timid than I had heard!" The Espada shouted after her, his cape flapping around his left arm as he turned. The glow of his qi shields remained firm, though Zai sensed a slight weakening of the shields she had struck.
She still didn't know what tricks the Espada had up his sleeve. Just his showing up in a combat frame had thrown her expectations out the door.
